how can the SEC punish the school for this? makes no sense
Because schools have been made aware that penalties could incur if the contact rules weren't followed and the kid goes elsewhere. Without a penalty in place schools could abuse the FAA rule. It would be great to have unlimited contact with 30 kids you are recruiting because they signed FAA's.

exactly

Explain to me how that makes any sense? You dont write laws and rules in which the legality is dependent on a future action of another party
You can have unlimited contact provided a kid signs. He did not. You therefore broke the rules. You obviously should have followed the normal contact rules until you were sure.

You keep fricking saying this but the fact remains the kid did sign the FAA
Yes he did, but schools should be smart enough to know the kid could back out and not put themselves in a position to be penalized.

Well I assume you wouldn't let a kid sign the FAA agreement if you didn't really want them.

We apparently didn't even accept the kids FAA so none of this shite makes any sense. The SEC has literally decided to say frick it, we're gonna punish LSU for something they didn't do.

This is completely retarded

There is so much fail with that rule and that article
"David Womack, Matt Womack’s father, told The Clarion-Ledger in the fall that LSU coaches were not planning to contact his son on an unlimited basis because Matt wasn’t completely firm on enrolling early or on his commitment to LSU."
Then why is the assfrick signing a financial aid agreement? And why is LSU penalized because he can't make up his mind?
“LSU is not using (the FAA) because if Matt was to change his mind they would have to report it,” David Womack told The Clarion-Ledger."
Well we either are or we aren't, which is it?
Recruits like this should have to sit out a year if the school is going to get penalized. It's only fair.

lies? Little strong. People are allowed to change their minds. Womack was actively looking around from the day he committed. The schools are fully aware that the FAA is one-sided. The players are not bound to the school in any way.
LSU knew the risk because it's been discussed at length. No one else had this problem. Sounds like either poor compliance or administration to let this happen.

I'm gonna go ahead and say nothing about this rule is fair. They should just do away with the rule. Or make the rule only apply when the school voids the contract not when the player does.

Ole Miss still needs investigation for that 2013 class.

Hogs got a warning from the NCAA last year when they signed CB Chris Murphy to a FAA. He enrolled early for spring ball and then transferred to Cincy in the summer.

Yo have to be trolling. No way you think a rule should include mindreading.
