Mariota has that X factor. He doesn't have to make difficult throws because he finds the open man almost every single time. And the fact that he can run throws off coverages. He'll be good. Not great, but good.

Sit down You guys didn't stop Bama.
We gave BAMA that game so the SEC would have a team in the playoff man.

Dead serious.
We'd keep it close and then they'd put together a game winning drive in the final 30 seconds.

That's the thing though, there aren't wide open guys every down in the NFL, he's yet to complete to anyone with a body within 10 yards in this game. Been that way all season, their receivers are amazing at just getting open.

Could any SEC defense stop Oregon?
They would make us look like Cumberland
God knows what they'd do against A&M's D, too

I don't agree. He's just like JFF except he only makes incredibly easy throws, never see him make unbelievable throws into tight coverage. Not sure he has an NFL arm TBH, we will see.
He sees the field way better than JFF, making it look easy. Come on, you know Mariota will have a better NFL career than JFF and will start from day one on an NFL team.

Big difference in LSU defense since Aubue game. That was turning point for defense.
This is true, but it doesn't matter. LSU doesn't have the speed, nor the depth, on the line to compete with Oregon. Oregon is better this year than they were in 2011 and this LSU Dline doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as the rotation in 2011.

Arky and Mizzou were the best defenses in the SEC by the end of the year. They would shite all over SEC defenses this year. It would be painful to watch.
LSU would normally be well suited to stop them, but LSU hasn't been normal LSU for a couple years now.

doesn't look like holding will be called tonight

I'd have to say that UF's defense would have given them a run for the money. UF's secondary and front 7 was very stout. Their only problem was a horseshite offense that kept them on the field for 2/3rds of the game. I think they would have gotten enough 3 and outs to keep it close though.
