If it had been closer 2 weeks ago I wouldn't think so, but yes we could beat you worse just as well as Auburn could've kept it closer..

Your coaches aren't going to play him 2-3 games at the end of a year fresh of an ACL.

In a second meeting, especially in a neutral field environment, I think it will be a different game. MSU might still be better, but maybe not.
It was about the MSST red zone defense. Their red zone defense was better than the SECs #1 red zone offense.
They are dead last in the SEC in total defense and pass defense.
Otherwise, both teams were nearly identical statistically outside of the score caused mostly by Auburn turnovers MSST converted vs MSST turnovers Auburn didn't convert into TDs.

If he gets clearance they will play him. He will be gone after next years season.

There would be. No cowbells
Don't be so sure. It's an SEC rule. We've always been allowed cowbells at bowl games..i'd imagine the playoffs will be no different.

Can't stay with y'all???? Come on man, when did Ms State become 85 bears...?? Bottom line y'all won the game yes.. On the road in a tough environment for us, biggest game in ms state history.. Spotted y'all 14 points.. Don't believe that would be the case at neutral site.. Reality is rematch will likely not happen but it's fun to talk about..

If he's playing the playoff game it will be 11 months after his ACL
Two months after his expected return

It's still so weird to me that I think State is so good, but then they're dead last in the SEC in total defense, passing defense, and red zone offense (according to Mullen's press conference).
How can they be the most complete team if they struggle that badly on the back end of their defense? They have the best defensive line in the conference, IMO. Do they get enough pressure on the QB to make up for their average (at best) defensive backs?
We have the #2 redzone defense in the country and #9 3rd down defense. We also create a lot of negative plays. Our D is a bend but don't break type

We rotate all those monsters back in once you cross the 50

If Auburn wins out they will be the 2 or 3 seed. Only chance would be us dropping a game to Bama and Auburn winning out, would be matched up in the 2-3 game IMO.

Tis true. The bend is there though, dead last in the SEC in total defense and pass defense. #5 in rush defense.

State played workmanlike, if not pretty flat and sloppy in the game against you. Every single time we needed a stop or score, we went and got it and made it look easy when we did.
Congrats on the yardage moral victories though..

Still trying to stat us to death?

FWIW if we can squeak past Alabama I'll gladly take Auburn again in the playoffs

They had less yards than we did.

I could see that but FSUs schedule is cupcake after cupcake, they're in. ND wins out they're in (likely even with USCw). You'd need all three Big 12, Big 10 and Pac ## to have a conference champ with 2 losses.
Tall order (especially with the Big 10) and not much time left, but, Halloween week typically gets weird in CFB.

You're out of context and a little slow. Go back and read it in context.

When you look at the game, we both had 4 turnovers. The difference is none of ours were forced, while all of yours were. We turned the ball over in 4 straight possessions. In reality, the score should have been at the very least 35-3 after the first 8 trips down the field. That's just if Dak doesn't throw the endzone pick and we piece together one of the other 3 drives.
Dak with 2 bad decisions, our punt returner's blunder, and the fake punt. On the other side, we stripped the kickoff, the last int was knocked out of Marshall's hand, the hit that caused the fumble early, and I honestly forgot what happened on Marshall's first INT.
