Mississippi State and it's not even close. Lots of depth for the first time in awhile. Not to mention arguably the best Linebacker in the country.

UGA would have been my first answer but they haven't blown me away like I thought they would. UGA's secondary does them no favors however.

I am surprised by how good UT's looks, AJ Johnson is more important to that team than any other player IMO.

I'll give you a hint. Their MLB may be the worst in the power 5 conferences. He gets everyone lined up though.

Yeah, our secondary has been abysmal. If they would tighten up, our LBers would be able to make a lot more plays.

AJ johnson is so overrated...He got his shite pushed in for most of the game last week. He like your version of Ramik Wilson. Gets tackles 7+ yards down field to pad his tackling stats.

Agreed. Not yet anyway.

Been really spoiled by the Rolando Mclain to Dont'a Hightower/ Courtney Upshaw to CJ Mosely continuum that Bama has enjoyed. Not sure if there is a LB on the team of that mold right now. A lot of really good LBs, but maybe no great one.

CBS 2015 Mock Draft lists them as

For SEC only OLB and ILB combined

1. McKinney - 2nd round
2. Jenkins - 2nd round
3. Johnson - 3rd round
4. Wilson - 4th round
5. CJ Johnson - 5th round

Based on that I think you have to give it to UGA.

Feel like there aren't as many established elite LB's in the league this year.

McKinney is one. The UGA guys are talented but none of them seem to stand out. Johnson is a solid college LB but he has some serious flaws. Trey Depriest is a lot like Johnson.

I don't know about other schools but Alabama has a bunch of freshmen and sophomores who are LB/DE type guys who are going to be really good but aren't there yet.

I haven't watched any play other than vs LSU, but McKinney is a brick wall... Didn't matter if he was making an open-field tackle or taking on the fullback on an ice, whomever he hit did not move an inch forward after impact

Cody Prewitt said the same thing and it was considered trash talk. Should I RA?

Mississippi State has 4-5 future NFL LBs

We have been pumping out a ton in the past 3-4 years

KJ Wright
Chris White
Cam Lawrence
Deonte Skinner

McKinney will be a first rounder this year.

Richie and Beniquez Brown will play in the NFL
Matt Wells likely could make an NFL roster
Heck we have a 4Star Stud LB who is redshirting bc of our depth.

Cody Prewitt is playing against an offense averaging 600 yards a game brah, not our developing LB corp

We have three 5-star LBs on our 2nd or 3rd team.

Reeves-Maybin is our best LB and Johnson is very solid as well. Maggitt now starting to get reps at LB as well and UGA was his best game.

Reeves-Maybin was recruited as a S and moved down to OLB. I like that model a lot because your LBs are a lot faster. Chavis was/is famous for it.

Cortez McDowell and Elliott Berry are following the same path. Really makes your D faster.
