Emory Bellard if only counting personal experience. I ran into him several times on campus and said "Howdy", he'd stop me and ask me how the hell everything was going and seemed genuinely interested. Great guy, and an innovator with the wishbone.
If I had been around for him I suspect I'd have the same opinion of RC Slocum.
I don't know, but I suspect Sumlin would have a much harder time walking around campus as he's a rock star. But I think he'd be pretty much the same as Emory in the friendliness department if he had the chance. I also expect bigger, better things from him than Bellard or Slocum delivered. We'll see.

Does it have to be SEC? College? Football? Can he be dead? Cause if so it's john wooden with Greg Popavich behind him...
But if not, I'm gonna have to say I love the old ball coach. Also a fan of Gundy at OSU and Dantonio at MSU

For LSU, its Miles. Outside LSU, I like Leach, and have grown to love Spurrier.

I don't know if he's my favorite, bit I really like David Shaw at Stanford. I think he's one of the few non-SEC coaches who could come in the league and compete right away.

Homer says Nick Saban but if we leave him off the ballet then it has to be Les Miles. It's no wonder he's the second best recruiter in the SEC, the guy is a little weird but is absolutely great for college football. Love the guy.

Pro: Lombardi, from all I have seen and read
College: Saban or Bear may be the best, but my favorite is Gundy for ripping the press that time.
I am also loving Muschamp at the moment.
