After the game the UGA AD was incredulous that nothing was going to happen to Fairley.
Has a player ever been suspended for a late, non-helmet to helmet hit?

It is amazing how far the SEC went to protect auburn that year.
Is that what was happening when he sacked McElroy on 3rd down and was called for unsportsmanlike contact for getting up nodding his head?
Or how about when two of our linemen were suspended for the first half of the bama game after UGA attacked Fairley and half the team stormed the field from the sideline and received zero punishment?

If only Murray had an OLine to protect him in that game...
Shouldn't have to protect your QB that long. Fairley was hitting well after plays were over. (Or in the case of the hit in the back...long after Murray had let the ball go. THOSE were the questionable hits...and those were the ones being complained about.

The uproar over one late hit, which was rightly flagged, is quite amazing.
Will the legend of Fairley ever reach the legend of Chaz Ramsey though is the question? That monster ended Glenn Dorsey's career according to many LSU fans yet they don't seem to remember that Dorsey came back into that very same game.

Fairley is a POS, one of the few players who I root for someone to end his career.
As an LSU fan, I'm actually over those dirty antics circa 2010 game; seeing as LSU took it out on Auburn the next year.
Never quite seen an entire back 7 cower in fear everytime JC Copeland lined up in the backfield like that, but there it was.

I've never seen a team quit like theirs did in athens in 2011. But then they did even better in 2012.

I've never seen a UGA team win a national championship and I'm almost a 1/3 of a century old.

It's pretty unfair to others how we can win a NC in 2010, quit in 2011 and 12 then get serious in 2013 and go back to a national title

And if it were one late hit, probably not as much would be said. however, he also drove his shoulder into Murray while Murray was lying on the ground, and he numerous late/dirty hits against other teams. (LSU, for one)
Do you really believe all the fuss is being made over one late hit?

No, it's being made because people are stupid and believe stuff like this...

Please point out a late hit against LSU or where he drove his shoulder into Murray while on the ground.
I'll wait...

Well, it definitely felt good to get revenge by shutting them out in 11' and 12'.

You didn't shut us out in 11.

Overruled on the grounds that Auburn got their arse beat regardless of score, but your objection is noted.

Thats cool, I'll take a national title and second title appearance and two sec championships over two revenge games that were meaningless

I think one of your fellow Aubies posted a pic of Fairley driving his shoulder into Murray...and If I am not mistaking...they are on the ground. Just check one page up.
