Hey guys, just wondering about your coach, I really like him and know he is outspoken about his faith and being a mentor to the players. Recently Dabo is catching a lot of fire from an atheistic based group I believe for having optional team Bible studies. Is that something Richt does also? It seems like this always comes up with Clemson, it's like the third time I believe, before it was the ACLU I believe.

Dabo should tell them to frick off and let the players participate if they want.

FWIW, I'm not an atheist. I just wanted a reason to post that pic.

I personally respect the shite out of Dabo and Richt on how they are trying to help them as people and athletes

As long as that's the case - then there's no problem. However, I wonder how much pressure there is to be seen at such a gathering even if you don't believe in mythology.

That's what I'm saying...many players come out of backgrounds where gangs and violence run rampant, is it really such a bad thing to have a college coach reach out and mentor those who are interested? Again, it's optional..

We don't care if Georgia's coach is a devil-worshipping orgy enthusiast married to a Wiccan, if he'd win a National Championship.

I don't really care if it's optional. I only care if it's used as criteria to hire/keep a coach.
Dude could be into Zorastrianism for all I care if he's good at his job

Great point!
Coaches don't care about winning. They award playing time based on religion.
In fact, thats what those tiger paw stickers they get for the back of their helmets are awarded for.........How many prayer meetings they attended. Also......Non-believers have to get up at 4am on Sundays to run wind-sprints.......
You godless hyper-sensitive paranoid McSnoots are a riot!

Probably zero. If all of my coworkers that I see every day were going to a muslim event, I would feel no pressure to join them.

I wish we gave them equal time with the dark lord satan... Only he can show them the true path to victory...

We already give them equal time with the dark lord (January-June)and it really isn't working out.
IMO it may be beneficial to divide their time into thirds and figure out a way to bring some e-meters into the fold.

If it were mandatory it would be an issue but if it is optional I do not see the problem.

I respect both coaches & their stand. They both seem to truly want to help these players be the best young men they can be...
I will admit tho that the whole water trough baptism thing on the 50yd line caught me off guard & seemed a little too staged & over the top for my taste...JMHO...
