Auburn 247 has waived the white flag regarding Thompson. Said the chances of landing him are extremely slim.

According to the oracle, UGA will likely take between 29-31 signees this year. NICE!. I knew it would be at least 25, but I am guessing that either some guys will transfer depending on how the playing time shakes out and some will test NFL draft waters.

So Crow, Tyler, Swin..any of you guys got an idea of where we stand with Van Jefferson?..the WR from Tennessee....haven't heard much about him lately..Tennessee is filling up fast and I'm not sure they will be able to take him...isn't he supposed to be visiting us again with family...he looks like a good prospect...

I get that ...I guess my thinking is..they only have a couple spots left and tons of WR's,,,they have areas of greater concern....I'm thinking we get him back on campus we have a good shot...what about Ohio State...looks like they are after him...

Neither have I which should tell you all you need to know. I have a feeling that everyone we're going to end up signing was present at Dawgnight. Given a good season, we may snag one or two that weren't there (i.e Sweat and/or Chuma) but I'd say that the Van Jefferson, Preston Williams, etc. ships have long sailed.

We're gonna go hard after Jayson Stanley, we may pick up Gilbert Johnson again, and Shaq Wilson may still end up a WR plus we already have Godwin on board. That's a good 4 receiver haul and we'll likely make a run at some top flight guys for next year (Salomon and Demetris Robinson in particular).

I doubt we get Jefferson. I'm starting to feel more confident about Slayton though, and I think he would be a receiver.
If I had to guess at a WR class, I'd say Godwin, Stanley, Chigbu, Slayton, and Owens if he sticks. That would be awesome

Yeah, we're after Slayton as WR, which is helping our cause.
