I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Murray has insane stats when facing a blitz.

JM ran a hand timed 4.7, he is no where near Vick in athleticism
JM is way faster than 4.7 bro. open your eyes. He's definitely not the same caliber athlete as Vick but he plays with a similar style.

I don't think so. maybe some times. I always say that Colin Kaepernick throws like he is throwing a baseball (and runs like he is holding a large taco bell cup), but I think Johnny has a better throwing motion than that. He definitely needs to check his footwork, but I think he can do that and do it well. he just plays reckless sometimes and that's when you see a lot of the sloppy footwork.

Probably somewhere between 4.5 and 4.6

Mett - fits most NFL offenses
McCarron - fits offenses but arm is question mark
Murry - size is a liability
Manziel - only fits a very few NFL offenses. Philly's offense is view by most GM's as a gimmick.

This is so wrong. JM ran a hand timed 4.7, he is no where near Vick in athleticism. RW has damn near perfect mechanics and has top 10 footwork as a qb. JM throws a football like he is throwing a baseball.
Something tells me you haven't been watching the games this year. When in the pocket Manziel's footwork and throwing motion are very traditional now. I have heard straight from draft guys.
He is likely not as fast as vick but he is every bit the athlete. Supposedly has the best verticle on the A&M team not to mention his abilities in almost all other sports. Could have been a d1 Baseball, Golf and I have hard possibly basketball player.

quote:That would be a disastrously bad fit. Kelly has a system where the intent is little/no improvising; everything is quick and based on matchups at the snap. He is trying to scheme to where you don't ever have to extend the play, but instead you see what the defense gives you and take it every time. Then you run back to the line and do it again and again. Manziel's biggest attribute is improvising and extending plays.
Manziel in Philadelphia could be sick if Chip last's that long.
They'd hate each other by mid-season.

How about Mariota in Chip Kelly's offense? Something tells me they may be successful if they were to work together.

quote:Ryan throws a damn good deep ball (I mean 50+ yds in the air); he's done this a good bit over the past couple years. The pass to Jones against NE; last year to Roddy White against Carolina, etc. I don't think McCarron has anywhere near the same arm.
McCarron - skills are middle of the road but his consistency is the best. he will impress teams with his maturity. Very similar to Matt Ryan. Safest pick but not the first pick.
Matt Ryan is a good comparison.

Manziel - Some crappy team will take him real early to sell jerseys. At best: Wilson. At worst: Eric Crouch(switches from QB to S or slot)
Mett - Biggest arm, highest upside, biggest risk because of a small sample size. Think he tears it up at the combine though and jumps Murray. At best: Flacco/Cutler. At worst: Josh Freeman
Murray - Quick decision making, High football IQ, great mechanics. At best: Dalton. At worst: Flynn
AJ - IMO, the biggest question mark. He could be great, he could be horrible. At best: Eli. At Worst: Leinart
IMO, Murray is the safest pick. He might not be a great starter, but he will be good enough to be a starter or 1 of the best clipboard /backup QBs in the game. Extremely smart and makes quick decisions.Could have the longest career of all these QBs.
Manziel is 1 of those picks that can make or break an organization / coach. If hes great, its an awesome pick. If hes not, the organization is setback 5 years and the coach gets fired. Very volatile and it will take the right kind of coach to keep him focused on football.
Mett is a pro-type gun slinging QB. He can win you games with his arm, and he can lose you games with his arm. Will throw a bunch of TDs, and INTs. Trusts his arm way too much. Similar to Jay Cutler.
AJ - Biggest question mark IMO. Has the awesome college resume. But, was he just a "game manager" that played with an awesome D and had great RBs / OL? Or, was he a great QB that made the game plan / RBs look great? I remember Eli Manning being tagged a game manager throughout his career.
Regardless of where these 4 go, the top 3 QBs in the country that are draft eligible are Bridgewater, Boyd, and Hundley from UCLA. So if these 3 all come out, and the 4 from the SEC, thats 7 potential 1st round QBs. Dont see that happening. Those 3 are 1st rounders, then I could see Manziel and Mett sliding in the 1st, while Murray goes early 2nd and McCarron late 2nd.

You mean the same draft guys that said Barrett Jones was a first rounder and Craig Loston was the best safety in the sec?
