Agree with this. Our offensive playcalling has been hot shite.

There is nothing wrong with criticizing things that can be criticized. I never thought the sky was falling, but there were areas that needed to improve. We saw a lot of that this weekend, butchers is still room for improvement such as reducing penalties and getting better on 3rd downs.
ETA: If I see Christian Jones running another underneath route on 3rd and long, I will probably break something.

Or are we still not good enough to satisfy you spoiled brats?
I still think that Alabama will have to play better than they have played so far to beat LSU or Georgia (if they play them) this year. I also am confident that the progression will be there by the time those game hit the schedule though.

Still concerned some with the Oline play.
Would also like to see Yeldon utilized more as a passing option out of the backfield.

LOL at people who wish we still had Mcelwain.
The bitching about Nuss isnt near as bad as the bitching about Mcelwain when he was here. You people have very short memories.

He's not the bruising type of RB like UA has had in the past. It would keep these defense's honest and from stacking the box against Bama.

I would like to us line up in the I formation more on run downs. Seems like it was working very well last year before Fowler got hurt. Haven't noticed that formation at all this year. Are they saving it? Or has it been abandoned for good?

Rank 102nd out of 123 FBS teams on 3rd down conversions (19 out of 50 this year) & offense still plays atrociously.
Not satisfied.
Not possible. In the time it would take for him to get open, AJ would already be sacked.

Especially considering what we're used to... which is completing every single one... and having only about 10 3rd downs per game lol. Still though, at least the problem area seems to be fairly quarantined to one area of play. The rest of our game seems like it's gotten consistent, and our special teams have really helped cure my blues about the running game / OL. They are kicking some serious arse.

If we played an A&M caliber defense every game, we'd be unstoppable. Unfortunately we don't get that luxury.

Wish Bama could place a shock collar on Both K brothers and zap them every time they false start.

Jesse Jackson would buy a house in Tuscaloosa if we tried that

Almost.
Question for you fellas: Where was O.J. Howard Saturday? I thought I saw him in the game early but I don't remember him playing much. Did I imagine it or did he get hurt or something?

He played a fair amount but seemed everytime he was in the game we ran the ball. Don't know why he wasn't more involved in the passing game.

Just checking, thanks for the info.
This has got to happen. With the talent we have on the outside I don't see how they can stop him without bringing a safety down to cover.

I think it's been a combination of things . To be productive you have to develop a rhythm on O . Missed assignments , questionable calls ,penalties missing holes etc all contribute to not being to get in a rhythm . To me it's not one glaring problem but a few small ones that we have to correct . I think we fix these things and you start to see us really move the football .
