How can you say "where you belong" when aTm has never finished above LSU in the West

And before someone brings up aTm's home field advantage, check Alabama's record in away games.
Playing Ole Miss, Kentucky, State, etc. on the road isn't the same as playing A&M on the road. Cow bells and Hotty Toddy just don't affect the game.

Is aTm becoming the new Arkansas? These delusional fans remind me of the hog posters before Bobby went for his joyride.

they've been the new arkansas. apparently finishing 3rd in the West is a big deal in College Station.

Well, we tied for 2nd.
And it was the highest we've ever finished in the West
And it was 4 spots higher than we were assured we'd finish in the big bad SEC

It was a big deal, in that it was a stronger finish than what most expected. Overall, I thought it was a good season.
That said, I'm not a fan of crowing--regardless of whether my team finishes first, second, or anyplace else. Win-loss records speak for themselves.

We're helpless believers. It will either endear you to us or it'll turn you off.
And I won't offer any apologies for being proud about where we finished in the SEC Standings. You didn't have to hear two years worth of local media talking about how we'd be lucky to be ahead of Vandy.

Odds of A&M losing to Mizzou or Vandy?
Until last year didn't Missouri beat Texas A&M three years in a row???
In 2011 Texas A&M was 7-6. I say A&M drops back this season with 4 loses. They just don't have enough talent to replace 7 starters on defense they lost.

Texas A&M was 3rd in the west and tied 5th in the SEC.
I guess some places treat this like a super bowl victory.
We have arrived!!

I love the "Well, LSU is going to be better because they are LSU." arguments. Doesn't matter the schedule. Doesn't matter how many players they lost. Doesn't matter that Les Miles is a psycho. Nope, they will just be better. Ok.
Meanwhile A&M has the returning Heisman Trophy winner that continued to only get better as the season wore on in spite of whomever they played and yet the SEC will "figure him out" cause they just will. Manziel can't possibly get better in spite of just being a Freshman last year. No, he is doomed to be killed by the SEC.
Hey, whatever makes you feel better I suppose.
If you want an objective argument, A&M's offense is going to be ridiculously good next year. The weakness is on D. If Bama/LSU can contain A&M and Manziel to under 30 points and get their offense going then they can certainly win. It is far from a certainty however.

while Bama and LSU could be comprable to their 2011 teams.

Well, LSU has had better recruiting classes than A&M the past five years. LSU, Bama, and UF all have about equal talent.

Texas A&M loses two starters on the offensive line (pro team O-line) and Swopes (white boy receiver). I think the offense still will be good but not as good as last year.
This Big 12 style/gimic offense surprised a lot of the SEC teams last year. This year the SEC defenses will be ready.

We own the head to head. So you finish third

Ole Miss tried this same logic in 2003. LSU beat Ole Miss at Oxford. LSU wins SEC championship and National championship. Ole Miss claims SEC west championship for 2003.
Some schools like Ole Miss and Texas A&M will do anything to give themselves accomplishments.
