There's a much better looking pic of states new garage that I saw on SPS. Looks very nice

I don't have a problem with this. I always park near the Square and walk. The only thing that concerns me is if they're still going to allow you to unload for the Grove??
I may be wrong but I think the square will be impacted in a major way. Those people who lost there spaces on campus will be parking somewhere and I imagine the square is where many will try to park

you easily could have pulled a picture off the net that was focusing on the building in the front that just so happened to have the garage pictured in the overall plans of that area.
it wasnt common sense at all really.

Our new garage will coincide with the new arena. It won't suck.

coincide like attached to it so you can enter the arena without having to go outside? or just close to it?

More than likely. Bjork and co have been hard at work trying to find the perfect spot for the arena. The rumors are that it will be closer to the football field and there will be a parking garage that connects VHS and the new arena. If you are in the Rebel Club the idea is you will be able to park, tailgate in the arena, and walk into the Rebel Club without ever going outside. Appealing to the big $$$

i dont know why rich people like to tailgate inside.

Tailgate without going outside? Why would you want to do this?

rich people like to feel rich. the exclusivity of it appeals to them.

I think they're just going to be built at the same time. I'm not sure that they'll be attached or not, but I really don't know.

If its hot, cold, or raining which accounts for half the games. Not my taste but I'm in my 20's. This is for the 60+ crowd.

The old blue hairs do this already with their box seats in VHS. They show up to the stadium early to watch TV, eat, and drink in their boxes.

Belinda Smith Architects doesn't give away that it's an architectural drawing for that garage?
At any rate, I'd say it's a good thing that you can't tell the garage apart from the general aesthetic on that part of campus, which has been almost fully renovated in the past 5-7 years to the "new style" MSU look being employed in our stadium expansion, the football complex, basketball practice complex, softball/tennis complex, etc. That's the most consistently good looking part of our campus -- outside of the buildings immediately surrounding the drill field.
Stuff in background of that picture -- for reference:
Student Union
Lee Hall
YMCA
George Hall
Magruder Hall
Harned Hall
Chapel of Memories

YMCA = nicest building on campus

not biting...
You could make a case for a high percentage of our 20-50 year old architecture which is all either basic or eclectic bullshite with zero continuity between buildings -- You can't say the same about any of the new stuff.
I don't think George and Magruder have been touched yet, but are in the master plan for renovation... I seriously doubt we ever touch the Chapel of Memories though...
