You know how many true freshman played Mullen's first year? We had Banks, Boyd, Fletcher, Bumphis, Chris Smith, Heavens, and Cam Lawrence all play their first year. First year you play what you got to get as many wins as you can, then you build off of that and reshirt everything you can.

We also red-shirted a lot that year though. Nobody said you red-shirt all freshmen, obviously the ones with enough upside to play get on the field depending on your depth.
