So basically you are acknowledging that tOSU was/is getting ripped off?

SEC fans have been trying to tell self righteous naive Big Ten fans this for years but you people are so gullible that you actually believe this stuff doesn't exist in the Big Ten and that it only happens in the SEC. Only at Ohio State or another Big Ten program could an AD so arrogantly talk down to the NCAA and the media and just expect everyone to believe that there was nothing to see in the tOSU case.

maybe 2-14-1 because I believe he was the coach when I went to my first LSU game as a kid in '87 i believe and we drew a tie.

I wonder if Urbs slipped him a couple of bills to be his mouthpiece to denigrate the SEC. Urbs would seem like the type to get others to do his dirty work.

OSU's arrogance is what has them a bowl ban next year. I talked to someone a few days ago who knows the OSU case and the NCAA infractions process better than anyone and he said that all OSU had to do was self impose a bowl ban this year, even if they did it when they were 6-4, and the infractions committee would have counted that as their 1 yr bowl ban and not imposed an additional one next year when they might actually be good. A lot of people advised Gee to self impose a bowl ban once the season went bad but OSU was so convinced they had done nothing wrong.

Cooper could not beat Michigan and called for an investigation on Lloyd Carr (Michigan HC). Yes he did. Cooper was 2-14 vs the SEC. Now he wants all the SEC investigated on hearsay. The man is a loser in life and could not win the big game.

I've heard agents talk about Kearse in college at UF. Guy would play poker with him 3 times a week and sure enough, Kearse would come away with thousands every time. It just happens, whether or not people want to believe it.

You're turning a blind eye, and if you want to do that feel free. I'm not bashing it; I think if you want to compete you have to b/c I do believe everyone is doing it.{quote}

Dude, then why haven't LSU and the entire SEC been penalized as much as OSU, USC, and soon to be Penn State ??????????????????
Why? Since you KNOW so much. Why ??????

Well ???????????

Just because players sold their rings, players families got free housing, and especially, ESPECIALLY - Assistant coaches RAPE LITTLE BOYS, that means all that is happening at SEC Schools ?????? Jesus H. Christ are you fricking delusional.

I am really surprised they have not forced Smith to resign yet.

Ok....if you're even considering the PSU thing a football issue you have problems. That is not a football Big X football problem, so lets end that right now. That is a inhumane thing that happened there and is not a sports scandal

The reason why it hasn't come out is b/c these schools hide it. You're the delusional one in all this; if you think that Vince Young could pass a college course of any sort then once again WRONG.

I knew kids in the NFL now who my friends "tutored" who had triple negatives in sentences.

It's just what it is; the shoe will fall, it always does.

And on the other note, Smith should be gone IMO

Let's see...

Auburn was cleared after a full NCAA investigation. LSU did get put on probation. And, while there are rumors swirling around Bama about the T-Town Menswear, etc...nothing came of that.

This guy is arse hurt.

A deliberate cover-up by the entire university is more than a simple football problem, sure. That doesn't make it NOT an example of how hypocritical it is for ANY school to start pointing fingers.

I'm pretty comfortable with the current staff at UGA with regard to this, as I don't buy that Richt would allow things to go on that he wasn't ok with. Its possible stuff is going on without his knowledge but I doubt it. Biggest issues for us are keeping our kids out of trouble since the Athens area police apparently have Richt's number on speed dial for our delinquents. Doesn't mean that past coaching staffs haven't had their share of "issues." (B-ball Jim Harrick anyone?)

Comparing paying players and students getting "passing" grades is just silly. You think there are any programs where that isn't happening in major college football? That is an across the board issue/occurrence for better or worse. It won't get addressed because it cripples the "free education" argument against paying NCAA athletes to begin with.

UGA desperately needs to win a NC soon. When people reference cheating in the SEC, we don't even get mentioned. We suck.
