Dirty Dan Jackson makes it 12 this season, passing 2014-2017 Alabama.

***Etienne was a portal mercenary, but he was the only one out of the 48 drafted. So take away, Etienne and we tied the record.

Counting draft picks will never be the same, however. Ohio State right now getting all gay and happy for their number of picks this year, while conveniently looking past all of the portal mercenaries.

Kirby took the bagman system to another level after learning the system in Tuscaloosa. Let’s compare those numbers to the NIL era where everyone can buy the best high school players. Something tells me it won’t be close.

Also, 31 of 37 Dawgs who had game time in the UGA/Bama title game were drafted.

Nope, not everyone. Even easier for the rich schools now.

Something tells me Tech still won’t be close even with NIL

While we’re on the topic of records…

Texas set all-time ncaa record for most draft picks in consecutive seasons (23). Georgia takes over spot #2 as well with their last two draft classes (21 drafted)

It only takes one billionaire who cares. Only one to upset the apple cart. Then we will see the reactions. That will be when limits are placed. When bigger programs are losing players to one extremely wealthy person.

I doubt it. Hasn't t SCOTUS already addressed this issue with original NIL decision? Players and people own their NIL and can pedal it without limitation, capiche?

Yet, it is. 2 out of 14 were portal players. Simmons and Judkins.

Ohio State also has had zero scholarship players enter the spring portal. That is the more impressive stat to me.

$30,000,000 a year for buying players follows the bama/saban model - and BoyKirbywiththeshittyhaircut stepped on that accelerator like there was no tomorrow

Eight years of the biggest cheaters in college football history will be what uga football will be remembered for.

following the previous record holders in Druid City

and the too little too late version brought by another saban assistant, Sarkasian

mm filthy dogs

too bad Kiffin could only bring Ole Miss up to 9 win seasons

So what? A 20 year old in a red jersey can run with a football faster than a 20 year old in a blue jersey; that is important why?

Record will be hard to beat given that roster had a significant number of players that got an extra year of eligibility due to pandemic which *hopefully* won’t be something we have to deal with again
