Help a newbie out. It seems tourney locations are.....

Football: Atlanta
Basketball: Nashville
Baseball: Alabama
Softball: Athens
Gymnastics: Alabama

So every tournament is far on the East side? I know these sites were predetermined before OU and texas got here but when can we start to see the softball tournament in OKC and football at Jerry World? Lets make travel somewhat even.

You know it's just a matter of time before softball moves to OKC. Too much money not to. With OU, texass, and aggie a short drive to Dallas it won't be long before football is rotated.

It's called Hoover, and it will be there forever.

As a matter of fact, they'll all be where they currently are...forever.

Birmingham is still incredibly central to the SEC. I suppose we could move it slightly west play the game in Veterans Memorial Stadium in Jackson, MS.

The Crossroads of the South is smack-dab in the middle of SEC country.

You both knew what you were joining. Same as A&M and Mizzou.

If yall don't like it, you can go back to the Big 12.

We all know some of the tourneys will shift. However football may stay in Atlanta since if they move I can see the ACC champ moving right in and don’t think the sec wants to risk that.

It is objectively bs though to not rotate and everyone knows it here.

The geographic center of the SEC is around Columbus, MS. We can move everything to Starkville for all I care, but literally no one wants to do that. I take way more issue with the use of the word "far" here than I do with the suggestion of moving any of the tournaments/CCGs. Birmingham is really quite centrally located even with the Big 12 schools.

Basketball is in Nashville because it's marginally closer for Kentucky fans and the reasons for why that matters should be obvious.

Football is a little more complicated, but most schools who do actually make the SECCG are within an easy driving distance. Plus, the only other real "central" option would be New Orleans. That wasn't previously an option because of the Sugar Bowl

The locations you listed are closer for the majority of SEC schools. Travel would be less “even” moving them to Texas or Oklahoma

Men's tennis: South Carolina
women's tennis: Auburn

This rotates as the men's SEC tourney was in Baton Rouge last year.

Football: Atlanta - Been there over 30 years
Basketball: Nashville - Locked there now until 2030, not long ago this would change each year, with 2018 being in St. Louis.
Baseball: Alabama - Been there close to 40 years now.

As with everything with sports now, whoever bids the most will most likely host.
