Ohio resident Kristal Candelario needed a vacation, so she went to Detroit and Puerto Rico (see the nice beach picture below she posted on FB while she was on this vacation). Unfortunately, she left her 16 month old daughter at home, with no one to care for her. The child was on her own. When Kristal returned home, she found her deceased child.
"Jailyn (the child) was extremely dehydrated at the time of her death and was discovered in a Pack-N-Pen that “consisted of soiled blankets and a bottom liner saturated with urine and feces,” according to court records."
Candelario was sentenced last week to life in prison with no parole. But, she had some things to say:

Candelario was sentenced last week to life in prison with no parole. But, she had some things to say:

When asked how it’s possible for a mother to abandon a 16-month-old baby in a house, unattended, for 10 days to go on vacation, Candelario said, “The answer is a bit difficult for the rest of the world to understand and in particular for the people who question and point out that I have committed a diabolical act, as was mentioned in court.”

However, Candelario insisted that “my daughters have always been everything, my whole world to me,” and assured that Jailyn “is always in my heart and is with me wherever I go.”

I wanted to read about it. I am thankful to the OP for posting this story.

She should be left alone, with no food or water, in an adult sized playpen until she dies.

Reminds me of Casey Anthony.
How someone can be so selfish is beyond comprehension. I can't imagine leaving my child unsupervised for a few hours much less 10 days.

Used to, whenever I would read shite like this I'd think "geez that's awful" then move on. Now that I have two young kids, including one around this age, it's just incomprehensible that someone could do that. Like I can't even wrap my brain around how someone could do it. In instances where someone like shakes or hits their baby, obviously that isn't acceptable in any way, but you can AT LEAST attempt to chalk it up to "they had a split second lapse in judgment due to anger and lost their cool and did something they regret"....but with this, there is no "well maybe they [whatever]". During the packing, making accommodations, booking travel, walking out the front door and locking it behind you...I mean there is literally no rationalizing that whatsoever. I can only imagine what went through that poor baby's head during that time. Just terrible. This woman should never see daylight again.

Send her to the torture chambers. The death penalty is getting off too easily for someone like this.

Same. These stories completely changed after having kids. The fact she's not dead now is bullshite.

Harvest her organs and give them to needy people. Cremate what remains and flush it down the toilet.

Put her down in the backyard like the savage that she is.
