You can see where he’s coming from.

Alabama football is on an undeniable nosedive since giving up 40 points in a loss to unranked Vanderbilt and there’s not enough NIL money in the world to stop it.

Mr. Reinhart is an Auburn alum. I think I'll wait and see on this one.

Maryland is a basketball school. Nate would love it there.

I’m pretty certain that’s a satire account (I’ve seen it in the past associated with bogus stories). Can’t find anything about “Rob Reinhart” anywhere except for that Twitter account.

Now think about the amount of NIL money it would take to save a football program that lost to last year’s Alabama team!

I’m told Oats has become increasingly frustrated with the NIL situation at Alabama, as most of the funds have been diverted to football.

Well, let's not let the fact that he'd be going to a program that just lost a coach who was very publicly vocal about the lack of funding and leadership sway the shite we're gonna run with. And let's ignore the fact that Maryland just had its AD jump ship to SMU.

Oats may well take the job, who really knows? But, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me for any coach in a comfortable position at a power conference program to dive into Maryland after what just transpired with their last coach.

ETA: If this is even legit news.

Nosedive….maybe. But not as bad as LSU has been in sports. It’s sad to see.

You have no room to talk. Your team hasn’t made an NY6 bowl in 5 years and is on the verge of becoming a middle-of-the-pack SEC program. Kelly is toast after next season if he doesn’t at least make the CFP.

Don't see it. Maryland is not big time basketball. Not that Bama is yet but Oats is doing very well there..

Maryland could be a killer job. Recruiting that area would be easy with the right coach. Incredibly fertile around DC area with prospects.

Kansas
UNC

That is the list I’d could see Coach Oats leaving Alabama to go coach another college team.

I would think some NBA teams have reached out to gauge his interest, but other than Celtics, Knicks, and Lakers I doubt he’d even listen to an offer.

He's done a great job. He is committed to analytics.

Guys, this is satire based on Maryland's coach who just left due to lack of NIL funds for his program.
