He had a rough night but we shouldn’t forget what a leader he was for the program during the greatest era in program history. Nothing but respect.

Yep considering where this program was just a few years ago.
Mark and oats really lifted this program up.
I remember just thinking I wish we make the tournament

Him and Nelson played their asses off for the program, mad respect to both and back to back seasons like these have been amazing.

100%.
Tough way to go out, but he’s an all time great.
Thank you!

There are worse ways to go out than the second weekend of the dance.
Hope he finds his way into an NBA roster and has a successful career.

I don't believe in consolation prizes, but his name along with this team put on an absolute scorcher that will be in the record books for quite some time.

Huge part of our best stretch ever. Thank you so much Mark

He’s done a lot. I certainly appreciate his efforts for Alabama. I think he gets in the NBA somewhere.

Can't let the last game overshadow a fantastic career. I'm gonna miss Mark. He became the leader bringing Alabama into a basketball renaissance.
When we landed Mark, we were happy a local kid was coming home. We hoped he could keep up his shooting efficiency, and find a nice role in the offense. There's not a damn person on any board that predicted the success he inevitably had. He's been an overachiever, and part of the greatest 3 year run in Alabama basketball history.

Overacheiver is the best word to describe Mark. He wasn't offered a scholarship at Alabama coming out of high school but worked his way into becoming an all time great player. He is undersized and not super talented. Still, he was the best player on two of Alabama''s three elite eight teams including our only final four team ever. His story is inspirational and he is one of my favorite Bama athletes ever.

"Damn it, we only made the Elite 8, won 28 games, and lost to Duke instead of making the Final Four. What a joke!"

Didnt we lose to Indiana in the final 4 back in the 70's? (no we didn't get that far)
Indiana won it all that year. Leon Douglas and TR Dunn on that Bama team.

Bama lost to Indiana in the second round in 1976. Back then they only had 32 teams in the field, so technically that was the sweet 16.

Mark is an ALL-Timer at Bama. No ifs and buts about it.
We thank him for a preposterous career; one literally none of us could have imagined. 3 glorious years of thrilling basketball. Thank you Mark, we wish you a nothing but the best in your professional career.
