Because LSU is poor.

Makes the most sense I suppose

Because they're one of the all-time winningest teams of all time?

Better than the all time winningest team of part time I reckon.

LSU was completely irrelevant in CFB prior to Saban

Is Texas considered a blue blood or like the CFB version of the Hall of Really Really Good? They are but couldn’t resist the troll. If we’re counting since the year 2000 then LSU would be but history isn’t on their side long term.

A good example in a different sport is UConn in Basketball. They aren't a traditional blue blood, but they do have 6 titles now, so I think it's a valid question to wonder if/when/how that changes..
I honestly don't know, but it doesn't mean anything about today or going forward, but it is a term that describes the past..

-138 more wins
-Twice as many conference championships
-22 more consensus All-Americans
I'm not saying it's right, these just point to a longer history of overall success.

Texas was just as irrelevant before Mack Brown going back to Darrell Royal. They literally made a living being Barry Switzer's bitch.

I thought it was strictly based on national championships. They both have 4.

Money has bought Texas one national championship the last 54 years. Holy shite.

CFB blue bloods were minted in the 20th century. LSU is new money.

all moral victories.
LSU 3 NC and should be 4 since 2003 without a mulligan.
Texas 1 NC in the last 54 years. 1971-2025

I wouldn’t go that far. It’s funny to me yall have been this ‘dominant force’ for decades and were only able to muster up 4 titles. Like LSU.
