If Pitino stays at UK with no women trouble he has 10 titles. 1000x the coach Cal is.

They might. They would be the bluest of the blue bloods

He is on the Mount Rushmore of college coaches.

He had the Cats rolling when he left. That '96 championship team just wiped the floor in their title run.
He can flat out coach, probably the best in my life time.

Pitino should have stayed at Kentucky.
Spurrier should have stayed at Florida.
Saban should have stayed at LSU.
Imagine what could have been.

If you wouldn’t have gotten banned for so long, you’d have 2,500 threads created instead of this one being your 1,028th in 43 months.

Way to go out on a sturdy tree trunk, there.

Maybe four or five. I’d take it. Too much competition in basketball and too many variables.
The best coaching job I ever saw was his first season at UK taking an undersized group of Kentucky boys and one Indiana guy to go 13-13 and beat a fantastic LSU team. Nobody over 6-8, Farmer, Hanson, Pelphrey, and Feldhaus with some walk-ons and Sean Woods. The core of that team plus Jamal Mashburn took Duke to the wire in Philadelphia two years later. By the way frick Laettner.

The Pitino years were absolutely incredible. Easily my favorite UK coach of my lifetime. What could have been had he stayed.

He's the definition of a fundamentals coach. It's why he's won consistently at every school he's coached.
