But the game won’t count against their conference record? I think it should. Whether Ole Miss or horn wins, I think either team that comes up the victor should be awarded a conference win.
Are conference games that rare this early in the season?

Who even cares? It’s not a huge deal. It’s opening weekend for crying out loud.

We had a bye week in basketball bud. I was starving for sports.

This is my favorite weekend of the year. But enjoy your negativity. You sound like the type that would rather read box scores than enjoy the game.

I thought it was a fair question. I think the conference race will be tight, so every win matters. Even if it’s horn that gets the win (rival) or Ole Miss, I think they deserve the credit on their resume. Even this early.

Game won’t count for conference standings but will be awesome to watch.

Opening weekend is great. I’m saying who cares in regards to two teams from the same conference playing in a non conference game. It’s opening weekend. Teams are going to be finding themselves for a while. No need to have a conference game.

After watching last night, I think it's going to be a tough year. We just don't have the guys to compete yet.

Because it could potentially be an extra loss that hurts you in conference standings. It keeps everything even.

A couple of Big 12 regular season football games didn't count in the standings because they were signed before conference realignment.
This falls under the same category.

State and Ole Miss play a non conference midweek game every year in Pearl. Bama and Auburn do the same. Same thing here. It's not a conference game.

That is quit the judgement from 1 game.

Agreed, this Texas team is going to be pretty good.

I was unaware of that. Another rule I was unaware of, I’m still pissed that the 1st baseman can use the green bag for an out too. I understand the logic, but it made 1st base bigger for them.

But you stole our coach didn’t all his players and assistants come with him?

I would down to play LSU midweek too. I think they would be down too if our AD’s can make it happen.
You guys play FSU or Miami anytime soon, UCF to a lower extent?
