Started the season strong, pitching looked pretty stacked, 16 strike outs in a 7-0 win. Offense wasn't terrible, could've been a little more powerful but was good enough. Double header tomorrow, looking forward to this season.

Through the first 3 games we're looking pretty damn good. Definitely had some explosive innings over the weekend.

Team Batting Avg.: .385

4 starters with .400 or higher BA

Donay with 10 AB hitting .700, 2 doubles and 3 HR

25 innings pitched, 47 Ks, with a 1.44 ERA

I'm sure guys will emerge as the season goes on, but losing Cags is going to be a big hole in that department.

If Donay keeps it up we won't miss Cags as much as I thought we would.

From FloridaGators.com
quote:

Donay has now homered in four-straight games to open the 2025 season.
Donay has also posted multiple hits in all four contests.
The junior is 9-for-14 (.643/.706/.1.714) with a 2.420 OPS and seven extra-base hits through four games.

He got us out of an early slump with a 3 run blast to take the lead last night. I know he can't keep up the pace he's on now, but he's definitely fun to watch.

Another dominant weekend, 3 wins, all shortened by the run rule. Pitching has been awesome, and the bats aren’t too shabby either.
Miami comes to town next weekend.

Not sure how many people are watching baseball but last night was an entertaining game for sure, several off the wall moments. Gators started slow but Kurland opened it up late with a fly ball to center that bounced off the CF's glove and went over the fence for a 3 run homer. Also had a crucial call at first, Stetson runner didn't use the safety bag and ended up being the third out, negating the run that would have tied the game in the 7th. Took about 15 minutes to sort that one out.

Didn't look particularly good Sunday, pitching really struggled, giving up 10 free bases (6 BB and 4 HBP).
I'll take the series win, always good to beat the Canes. We need the bullpen to get a little better to make a run.

And we drop another one, this one was ugly, a 10 run loss to UCF.
Up next is 10-1 Florida Atlantic, who just beat UCF and held them to 3 runs.
Then what should be a tune up series against 0-6 Harvard before we start the gauntlet of FSU mid week and then SEC play against the Vols.

Got the W last night against a pretty good FAU team, pitching looked great, the bats really need to get hot before next week.

Good team with some issues to work out, should be an interesting season in a really tough league. Go Gators.

It was against 0-9 Harvard, but Gators did what they were supposed to do.
Won the first 2 by a combined 19-0, then went on to score 22 in game 3. Had some bright spots pitching, we'll need more of that for sure.

Now the gauntlet starts, looking forward to seeing what this team is made of.

Gators hand the Noles their first loss of the year
Freshman pitcher Barberi is going to be good, looking forward to seeing him the next few years. Gators took advantage several free bases and a couple of miscues from FSU and played well all around last night. FSU has several fantastic plays in the field to stop us from really opening it up.

On to Knoxville, hoping we can go and make a statement up there.
