We’re in the second week of February, and FIVE SEC teams still have a path to a 1 seed.

Surely we’ve never been this deep in the season with 5 SEC teams fighting for a 1 before. It’s astonishing.

We have a tough schedule for the back half.

Florida- Loss
At Vandy
Bama twice!
Kentucky
Ole Miss
Aggies
And on and on.

There are 10 maybe 12 tournament teams in this league. Everyone can bring it on a given day or night.

I’m sure everyone is looking at similar challenges schedule wise.

Yeah… Tuesday’s game at Texas is our last game against an unranked team.

Alabama’s back end conference schedule is absurd too.

One of these is not the same as the others. ATM would need some help from other teams to get a 1 seed. Great team but you all have some bad loses. That would be hard to over come.

AU, Bama, UTenn and Florida control their own fate.

I get what you're saying since the other 4 SEC teams have some room for error.

But Texas A&M does control it's own fate for a #1 seed.

Extremely unlikely because it would mean winning out their last 8 games including Florida, Tennessee, Miss St and Auburn. If they were to do that though, they'd be a #1 seed.

No. 8-0 finish and A&M is without question a 1 seed. I don’t believe it will happen, but they have a path. 7-1 might get them a 1 seed.

You think that winning out and a deep run in the SECT doesn’t get A&M in line for one?

Not with out help does it get a 1 seed. Aggies have 3 losses on the books to teams that will not make the tournament. Even if Florida, AU and Tenn lose to Texas AM it is still a quality loss. Just one loss for any of those team and they still have a better resume as they will have beat a lot of the same teams. Texas AM needs to be big bama fans going forward. The losses for the other 4 are all going to make the dance. UCF, Oregon nor Texas unless a miracle happens are going to make the dance. A bad loss hurts more then a good win.

You still also have Duke, Houston, Iowa State and a handful of others that would need to stumble to make room for lock for a 1 seed.

Ok, sorry i pissed in your wheates, but nothing I said is wrong.

Go look at Ken Pom. Go look at the NET rankings. Both have Texas AM in the 15 range do to those losses. Great wins will not makes those disappear.

I never said no chance just said they need help. Which is factual.

Hell even Auburn won't fall but maybe 1 spot, could still be considered number 1 with only having lost to two top 5 teams.

I’d hardly say we’ve had bad losses

No they don’t need help. If they win out they will beat a top ten Auburn and Florida team. And a Tennessee team. They will have something like 10 Q1 wins at that point and likely would be the SEC conference champion or close.

If that happens, and it’s not impossible, they absolutely don’t need anyone else’s help to be a 1 seed.

Sorry that doesn’t fit your anti Aggie narrative. But that’s facts.

Here’s another fact. You’re a moron.

That’s funny since both ESPN and CBS sports have Oregon as a 7 seed. ESPN has Texas as a 10 with CBS having them first four out, while UCF is first four out on both. So to say none of them will make the tournament is a lie.

its a ridiculous talking point cause even if they dont make the tourney, "lost to X team that didnt make the tourney" has never been a metric that the committee considers. its akin to calling a loss to a mid major school a bad loss just cause of the name on the front of the jersey.

Auburn and bama are two games up on everyone and have to play each other. I expect a split on the season series.

The teams with multiple losses have easier schedule, but they really can't afford to lose a game. bama's schedule is the toughest to one.

He’s a sip lover that can’t stand Aggies. It’s alright. We’ve seen it before.
