Why the secondary played really well I thought?

That's...weird. The secondary played really well for a young group.

This one was little surprising but I had heard he wasn't coming back. Maybe someone knows more about the situation?

Can't say that I agree with that decision, but I'm not the one in the meetings so what do I know?

Won’t lie I like how Saban handled this. Allowed coaches to find other positions and didn’t fire anyone. It’s not a program breaker just liked his way of
Moving on coaches.

That’s interesting.

Honestly given that we had to replace the entire secondary outside of Moore and had injuries all over the place I thought the secondary was much better late than we had any business expecting it to be.

I mean we lost Koolaid, Arnold, Downs and Amos. That’s a future NFL starting secondary and we still had a top ~10 FEI defense.

Don’t get me wrong if he already has a better coach lined up great but I like giving coaches a dignified way of exiting the program.

My guess is Linguist was really the brains of that operation and he may not have worked well with the rest of the staff.

Agree with the message off the top, Alabama is going to make some changes this offseason.

Chuck Morrell will be promoted to LBs. Maurice Lindquist all of the secondary. Wommack won’t have a dedicated position group.

I think Kapilovec or Sheridan is next

Exactly. Freddie Roach should have been the first one shown the door. How that guy keeps skating by year after year when he's been the worst DL coach we've had in the last 10 years is really odd.

Bingo. Also not a great rapport with the players.

He and Freddie are going to have their hands full next season, so many questions in the front seven.

Hopefully Jefferson gets his extra year, if not the interior defense on paper is not good.

Surprising, but there's no telling what the dynamics are between coaches (players are a little more obvious).
