is now 7-5. Two games on Thursday--UGA v. Notre Dame and Ole Miss v. Duke for a shot at boosting the record to 9-5.

Would be great if Georgia and Texas could meet a third time, this time for the Natty.

That would be the lowest rated Natty since LSU-Bama. No one wants to watch them play a third time. And for a second time in Atlanta.

It would be good for the SEC. The other possibilities are SEC against BIG and BIG against BIG. I'll take any combo except BIG versus BIG. Their commissioner already runs the Playoff Committee.

The Power Four Leagues:

BIG: 8-5
SEC: 7-5
Big 12: 4-5
ACC: 2-9

The results of the Sugar Bowl, Orange Bowl and Cotton Bowls and the Natty will determine which Power 4 league ends with the best record. I disregard Group of Five bowl records because of the competition they face during the regular season and post-season. This also shows how weak the ACC truly was and that that conference did not deserve two playoff spots.

The ACC is utter arse. The bowl game they just won (Louisville over Wash) came down to a failed 2 point conversion.

Bowl records against the spread:

SEC: 6-6
B1G: 10-3
Big 12: 4-5
ACC: 0-11

Spend my holidays in Big-10 country.

They are all talking mad shite. It’s like they’ve all slayed their dragon up there.

Deserved. They’ve taken the SEC behind the woodshed this bowl season.

*ETA: ACC is 0-11? Holy shite that must be a record.

IMO from what I have seen this bowl season, the Big 10 is better overall than the SEC this year. Particularly in the middle of the pack teams. The top level is yet to be decided but that is my opinion. Opinions, everybody has one.

I have to say...I have never made a decision on whether to watch a game or not watch it based on where the game was being played.

3 games is not ideal, but the second game was a really good game. It might bring in a lot of viewers.

Outside of playoffs Bowl records are meaningless. LSU started a lot of new players where the Draft players opted out.

By my math, that's 6 more wins than necessary.

Texas is 3-0 vs Will Howard.

Texas historically plays better as an underdog.

Texas had to beat OSU away from home the last time they won a NC.

Texas should have a great crowd there. I'm sure OSU will as well, but I'm guessing a 2-1 split in favor of Texas.

All that being said, Ohio State is the team to beat imo. They have the most talented roster, and now they are hot and firing on all cylinders when it matters most..

It's a tall challenge no doubt, but it isn't impossible.

Why yes. As a matter of fact, I’d root for North Korea State if the choice was them or Texas.

At this point, I don't think it is an unreasonable opinion. Seems like a pretty safe opinion right now.

At the same time, just when you think you've got a particular team figured out, something crazy happens. Examples from this season: Ole Miss losing to Kentucky at home; LSU getting killed at home by 'Bama; 'Bama getting nearly skunked by Oklahoma at Norman.

Ohio State looked like world-beaters against Tennessee and Oregon. But they also lost at home to Michigan.

I think once a team gets to the semi-finals, anything goes. And previous showings are no guarantee of future showings.
