This year

Hurts but it's true.

Proof is on the field.

We will see if UGA and Texas can save the conference, but overall, pitiful showing.

NIL and transfer portal have evened the playing field

Bowl games don’t mean anything anymore with so many players opting out between draft and portal.

They mean absolutely nothing regarding which conference is better outside of maybe the playoffs.

Otherwise, bowl games are even more meaningless now than they could ever have been imagined.

They look pretty similar to me which with nil makes sense. Short of the UT mismatch, the games are close

Disagree. It shows where your depth is and a peak into the next season plus all teams have opt outs and transfers.

1. Who gives a shite if this is true or not

2. Meaningless bowl games are meaningless

Edit: never understood conference pride, especially because the SEC will always get the benefit of the doubt. So why do I give a shite if Bama loses to Michigan? My team needs to win and outside of that y’all can GFY

Depth matters when you are taking about the team minus draft departures. When half a team can jump in the portal to get paid, and thus misses the bowl game, it means nothing about next year’s team.

They are hard hitting games as another poster said, but not representative of what we would see with teams for what they really are.

We are currently a trash program, correct. I’m not sure who Mizzou even played in their meaningless bowl game but I do not care what happened in it

If Texas knocks out Oregon/Ohio State and Georgia beats Penn State that will be hard to argue.

Op, I posted this about a month a go and was shouted down that SEC was just fine and I was full of shite.

Sankey negotiated a terrible TV contract, and CFP format.

Now B1G schools have a lot more money, and today players are nothing more than hired employees and B1G pays better.
