Very smart parents.
Mommas don’t let your sons go to Oxford Junior College…

This feels like mom and pop are getting his NIL money.

Oh it’s more than that. Lebby called his mom and said his older brother (a freshman on the Mississippi State team) wouldn’t have a spot on the team if he didn’t sign with State. So the entire day after his announcement and after he signed the paperwork for Ole Miss, his mom absolutely refused to sign the documents.

So Mississippi State’s coaching staff essentially held his brother’s scholarship hostage and got his mom to force him to sign with them.

Sounds like that kid isn’t going to LOVE his new coaching staff. It’s such a stupid and short sighted thing to do if you're Lebby. But they haven’t been known for making smart decisions on that staff.

Mississippi State beat writer Steve Robertson

He leaves out the bit about his brother but that’s what happened.

This isn't the first time this has happened. I remember reading about some player who picked one school and then his dad refused to sign and made him go elsewhere. This is way back in the 90's, and I think it involved a Mississippi school too.

The “bit about his brother” is what I asked you to provide a source for. So you gave me nothing

ETA: a coach doing what you baselessly accused of Lebby of doing would be absolutely terrible. I asked for a source for that particular accusation and you gave me something that didn’t even mention that. C’mon now

A Mississippi State beat writer explaining what happened isn’t going to say “yeah the coaching staff held his brother’s scholarship hostage”.

He’s going to explain what happened in a way that’s accurate but one that won’t get him on the coaching staff’s shite side.

I’m not the one that provided that quote as a source for the flat out lie you just dropped

This sounds like fan fiction.

A coach can't really hold anyone hostage because they can just transfer.

Fan fiction is exactly what it is. The truth is Lebby trolled Lane hard. Lockhart was sitting in Lebby's office when he called him and told him he was committing to OM. Henry Jones Jr has been listening to too much OMSpirit copium. Lane pissed Lebby off with his twitter trolling and Lebby simply trolled him back with his own game of flipping your own recruit.
