Any 3 loss SEC team that doesn’t make the playoffs will have

only themselves to blame…a team should have to be badass to make the playoffs….if you are losing to ANYBODY by 3 touchdowns you don’t belong in the playoffs. Also, if you lose to three unranked teams you don’t deserve to make it. That knocks out all 3 teams yelling about why they should go to the front of the line.

We rarely, if ever, had 4 badass teams in the post BCS playoff era. 2019 is probably as close as we got.

Even in relative terms, most of those years there were clearly 1 or 2 teams head and shoulders above the rest. 4 almost always seemed like a stretch.
The new system makes more schools feel relevant, although it's clearly watered down the product at least in the first iteration.

Most people here were in favor of a 12 team playoff. Most here want it to expand to 16 teams.
The 4 team format was not broken. If anything, they should have tried to walk before they ran and tried to bump it to 8.

The only year they could have used a fifth and sixth spot was the year that 1-loss TCU and Baylor got left out in favor of 1-loss Ohio State, who’s loss was to a bad Va Tech team. Even though Ohio St went on to win the playoff, I thought both those teams got screwed. I suppose we could have used one extra spot last year for FSU. They got screwed too.

Actually we could. Hottest team in the land. Only team that even scares me is Oregon. We only lost 2 games anyways, the other was an officiating debacle

I agree and don't care if Bama doesn't get an invite.
I like Ole Miss's team makup. Their QB...and many players.
Kiffin may not have put the work in he should have. Would not be the 1st time.

All 3 teams have had some very ugly moments this season…moments you just can’t have if you are championship material. I hate it, obviously, but I’ve been watching this shite a long fricking time. You simply cannot do what these teams have done and survive.
