Taking over for the GOAT, dealing with a changing locker room, winning some big games, dropping some “should’ve been easy ones,” still in playoff contention, and two out of three against Auburn, LSU, and UT

I give him a B or B-. I think he’s what we need going forward, just have to see how recruiting keeps up.

I go back and forth between B- and C+. It’s about what I expected. I think I initially said I could see 8-4 or 10-2 being his first year regular season record. So 9-3 is right in the middle.

He inherited a talented starting unit but little depth thanks to all the transfers we had in the offseason. Considering we finished about where I thought we would (9-3 or 10-2) I'd grade him as a solid B. Things can definitely be improved but I believe there's room for growth.

C+
I give him a pass having to start a QB with very little passing ability, and no ability to run any type of play with the word READ in it.

But at the end of the day, the loss to Vanderbilt was absolutely inexcusable, and ultimately that's why we're being left out of the playoffs

Making the playoffs was the benchmark for his first season, and it looks like he fell just short of that.

C. I don't really want to grade him that low because he's had some impressive moments. But the Vandy and OU games are just unacceptable. Not even for at Alabama. Just at any big time program. He couldn't prepare the team to play in those games. Because of that I can't grade him any higher

B+.

9 and 3. Beat one of our two main rivals, and stayed in the hunt for the playoff into the month of December.

Fairly solid.

This. He was an Iron Bowl loss away from an F. He barely passes with a C if we miss playoff or lose 1st round. If we squeak in and make a run, room for upgrade

C. Before the season started I was fully accepting for the possibility of three or four losses. It's just the nature of two of those losses that has been most disappointing to me.

You can't compare him to Saban. You just can't. Saban saw the landscape and decided he didn't like it. So he walked. I don't blame him.

You can really only compare him to other SEC coaches. Kirby. Sark. Kiffin. Kelly. Chum-lee. Freeze.

And when you compare him to these folks, you're comparing his FIRST YEAR to all of those other guys, most of who have been in place for 3 plus years.

And I think he stacks up pretty favorable to EVERY SEC coach out there.

ESPECIALLY in his first year. It's hard to judge him fairly befor the 3rd/4th year anyway. WE beat Geogia. We beat Auburn. WE smoked LSU. We had a pretty good transition year.

If we somehow skull our way into the playoffs
B minus

If we win at least one game but don’t win it all B

Win it all A plus

Don’t make the playoff C

C.

I'd like to believe he's gonna be able to assess his coaching staff and make some adjustments.

Same with the portal, hopefully they've got names already for when it opens. Just because some of the guys on the team are their "best players" , doesn't mean they are the best fits. I don't mean that for any one position.

C+ yesterday, but beating Beastiality U tonight moves it to a B-. I don't think he fully understood or appreciated what he was getting himself into taking a big time SEC job. Lack of preparation and readiness against perceived weak opponents was a consistent theme. Not a fan of the frequent shitty behavior of our players on the field either. Too much shite talk after giving up yards. I want to see how it looks with a QB he picked himself though.
