At what point do Pittman and staff have to get to so they will not be retained?

Is it losing big to MU and in the bowl game?

Is it someone like Stephens Media pulling a hatchet job like they did with Nutt/Malzahn era?

Is it when Yuracheck sees a guy he likes available and makes the move?

The NIL is not close to being competitive?

We aren’t firing a coach that makes a bowl. Sam’s original contract gave him a bonus for winning six games. Like it or not that’s the standard.

We’re a 3 TD favorite to win against Tech and secure a shitty bowl.

Maybe there might be a negotiated retirement for health reasons but that would probably have to be initiated by Pittman.

Given HY doesn’t want to hire a new coach right now, I hope he is back. If he isn’t we likely end up with another Morris situation.

NIL is the difference between 9 wins and being in the CFP, in my opinion. Pittman hasn’t shown me any reason why I, or anyone, should be investing more in NIL. If we got outplayed every week from a talent perspective that’s one thing. I see an undisciplined team that gets out coached. Fans throwing away money to NIL aren’t going to allow us to make better coaching decisions, fewer penalties and less turnovers.

Sam is on his 3rd OC and 2nd DC and they are the ones coaching these players, Sam is turning it over to them so he’s not the one causing the problems. I guess he should clean house again and see what happens.

And he doesn’t injure players either on a team that doesn’t have great depth. How many other teams would Hudson Clark start on, nothing against him, but just being realistic.

That Tennessee win may have been the ultimate Pyrrhic victory.

So which comes first, the chicken or the egg?
You have to have NIL money in the first place to compete for the upper part, but you have to compete for the upper part to encourage people to donate to NIL.

Missing a bowl game would allow us to fire him this year. Otherwise he's retained.

Hot debate here. I think it's not helping the situation but it's not wholly insufficient if we're shooting for bowl game every year and competing for our division every 4.....hard to ask people to throw more money at an undisciplined team. I think it's an easier sell to get NIL going If the team looked like they were overachieving instead of false starting and fumbling their way out of games.

Thus we have Tyson and the basketball team money. There is a realistic/historical chance we can compete for a title in basketball, football not so much. The question is there a high caliber football coach out there who would come if a Tyson type of donor promised big nil money.

Right now it doesn’t appear that that’s an option and unless someone steps up big no big time will be chomping at the bit to come here.

It’s a mess but those who are spending money are improving more than we are and that’s not all coaching. I think that before this year Sam was 2-2 against Kiffin. They destroyed us this year. I don’t think that’s all coaching.

I definitely think comparing kiffens record overall vs Sam's is coaching.... And while head to head their close kiffen is and has run much more successful programs than Sam is running right now...

it’s year 5 Clark. Every player on this roster is here because Sam wanted them here or because he failed at recruiting anyone better. You’ve already admitted Sam doesn’t actually do anything on either side of the ball so the least he could do is recruit. And the position group he’s supposed to specialize in is the worst unit on the team. No matter what angle you want to look at it from it all falls back on Sam at this point. Whether it’s recruiting, player development, talent evaluation, or scheme and game day coaching it all falls on him.

Sam's contract needs to be aligned with his value which as a coach who doesn't coach and isn't able to manage the games isnt a whole lot. He's essentially a cheerleader with worse dance move and bigger tits.

Arkansas turns the ball over on downs against OSU late in the fourth quarter.

Taylen Green gets sacked and fumbles the ball with less than two minutes left in the fourth quarter.

Arkansas fumbles the ball against LSU in the fourth quarter.

Arkansas fumbles the ball against Texas late in the fourth quarter.

One thing’s for certain, we won’t find out how he would do with more money to buy better players, we have and have had good coaches under him so he’s done what he can to try to help the situation.

But you have your opinion so go with that.

the areogance from an old geezer is priceless. It’s not an opinion it’s a fact. It’s year 5. Every player who is on the team is a kid Sam wanted. And his team is undisciplined and have a tendency to lose games they shouldn’t even when they’ve had better talent.

I’m saying a quality HC gets us 8-9 wins. That’s prettt evident the past few seasons alone. Even with our current NIL.

NIL is what it takes to get to the next level and compete for the CFP.

Find someone who’s worth investing NIL money into and the money will be there. Look at how quickly things changed with BBall.

Whatever you think pal, everything you opine on is fact to you, that’s a fact.
