Payton Thorne is still playing every down?

Every snap he takes is a wasted play that a young guy could be taking.
There is absolutely no reason for him to still be playing at this point. I don't give 2 shits if he "gives us the best chance to win".
He ain't gonna be here next year and we might need one of these young guys to play. Why are we still trotting him out there? I cannot think of anything that can be gained by it.

Our qb gurus haven't developed the other guys on the roster. They put another guy in that throws 3 picks and then snatch him for a guy that threw 4.

I asked this question three weeks ago. There is zero reason for him to be getting all the snaps.

Even if we plan to bring in somene and then have Duece be the man, there is nothing wrong with Walker or one of the other guys getting some reps

Your point is valid. All quarterbacks need to get some experience in a game. Injuries happen.

Now that the season is officially over I'd be down for whatever. I don't think anyone else would really do better but at least it would be different.

I would rather see brown throw 27 interceptions than to see Thorne touch the field again

Any of our QBs could play the rest of the way without burning a redshirt correct?

I’ve reached that point. Throw White out there and let him go. What’s the worst that could happen?

Hank? Geriner? No. We know they suck.

As someone mentioned in an earlier thread, it is to cover Freezus' arse. If he puts someone else out there and the offense looks serviceable, people will lose their shite as it will be even further proof that he is incompetent. We are basically throwing games to spare his fragile ego. He is such a damn loser.

it scares off our QB committ and or QB transfer. We are where we are. Keep putting Thorne out there. The season is over. Go get a quality QB transfer.

Hank has looked good except for 1 quarter. No, we don’t know about him. I’ll agree on Holden. He has looked terrible anytime he’s been given a shot.

Exactly! See Florida today.
Scout team true freshman transfer from Yale has to take the field in the 2nd quarter.
Even if we get a miracle worker like Cam or Nick next year, one play can end anyone's season. I would much rather have a kid on the sidelines who had at least taken some meaningful snaps in a competitive SEC game.
This is just total mismanagement by Freeze if he doesn't put the young guys in and go with them the rest of the way.

Because Hugh Freeze didn’t think a transfer QB was necessary. Frustrating thing is, plenty of our games this season would have been won if we had utilized Jarquez even a little more. Some of the decision making almost makes you wonder whether we’re intentionally trying to lose games.

what do we have to gain by playing a different QB now? Seriously? If our QB next season is on the roster now, we are beyond fricked.

*checks notes*

He's the best Auburn has to reach the goals still left on the schedule.

Or something.

Remember the Egg Bowl in 2017? Nick Fitzgerald was injured and his backup had hardly been on the field all season. He had the deer in the headlights look. Mississippi State was favored to win but lost because the backup was so inexperienced.
