ok, then the big question is, how many tickets have to be made available for the visitors? and WHERE in the stadium will those seats be?

i can't possibly remember where I heard this so I definitely don't have a source to site, but I think I saw somehwere that at UGA the athletic office will reach out to all season ticket holders and give you the option to purchase your normal tickets to the game. So if that's the case I would imagine the crowd split to resemble a regular season home game

So would the visitor ticket allocation and location be different from SEC rules?
Same for visiting band?

I don’t see teams being any more hospitable than explicitly required for an OOC playoff opponent.

Would be sad if the game is treated as neutral. That defeats the point of being the better (host) team!

Since the college game is being bastardized to reflect the NFL, hell yes treat it like a home game for the higher seeded team. That's the incentive for winning and gaining the home field advantage.

I realize there is some discretion, well actually lots of discretion, in how teams are selected, unlike the NFL which has a standardized system for making the playoffs, but the home team should have all the advantages of a home game.

I think they should treat it like a regular season game, don’t feel advantage should come with privileges

I imagine just about all they'll do is change the midfield logo and endzones, correct? Or no?

As well as increasing the allocations for the other team.

What would be the purpose of a home game if you couldn’t treat as such? Wow

This is what I’ve been trying to say the entire thread. The CFP 100% is implementing neutral Gameday experiences, and it will be very similar to how the NCAA does it

I know that you know this; however, can you provide something from the CFP website or somewhere else backing up what you're saying? How do you know for sure they're implementing this same kind of restrictions, is what I'm asking.

Hosting home Regionals and Supers is quite, sit on your hands and deal with the goofy videos produced for the stadium, listening to the other schools fight song if they score, absolute bullshite.

I cant stand that they make the host schools do that.

The school hosting earned that right...the other three schools should have to deal with the normal home game day experience/atmosphere...They could have hosted had they been better.

Because I’ve spoken to people in the UGA AD about it

This.

I don't think this will be a thing at all.

Home field advantage lives in a playoff world as well.

this is bullshite, it would defeat the purpose of a home playoff game.

The entire purpose of having home playoff games is to have the electric atmosphere for the home teams who have earned the right to host.

0% chance these will be "watered down".

Would be absurd.

Well literally every other college sport works that way so I’m not sure why it’s so hard to believe

I contacted the UGA Athletic offices this morning......according to a spokesperson who works with ticketing allotment, etc., they have not received any information from CFP sources indicating whether or not the quarterfinal playoff games are to be treated as a normal home game by the host or as a neutral game as the NCAA practices it.

So, who knows.

CFP director said visiting teams get allotted 3500 tickets. I believe the CFP also has booked blocks of hotels in locations of the teams they think have a good chance of getting the home games. Not sure when they started doing that during the season but they have set up deals with the hotels in those areas.
