Will the home playoff games be “neutral” or allow regular traditions?

Baseball and basketball campus postseason games are considered as “neutral” as possible when it comes to the usual traditions and gameday norms
Is there any confirmation of whether or not this will be the case for the playoff home games in football?
Not that I’d ever have to worry about it

To my understanding, the game will treated (for the host team) as a home game with usual traditions. I've not seen/heard anything to the contrary.
EDIT: Just found this piece relating to your question, CNB, and it's very recent (like today!) ....
College Football Playoff executive director Rich Clark has indicated that all teams who are under consideration for hosting first-round CFP games have made it clear they plan to do so on the campus. Those teams also have the option to have the games played out at alternate sites but have clearly not taken that option.

I hope so. I don’t understand why they do it the way they do in basketball and baseball. If you earned home field advantage, it should be that without limitations

It will be neutral. At least from a video production standpoint. I’d imagine the rest would be the same

There is a lot of gnashing of teeth over that rule for baseball. Some schools abide more closely than others and the schools who do follow the rules are pissed at the NCAA for not cracking down

About the only limitation I could foresee being placed on the home team would be a requirement to increase the seating allotment for the visitors, thus decreasing the amount of tix for the home team. I dunno. This is unchartered territory.

One major difference I can think of is the NCAA does the tournaments for baseball and basketball. Hopefully that bodes well for football?

The NCAA does not run the CFP. The CFP Administration, LLC is the legal entity that runs the CFP.

Both teams get introduced in the same way. No home entrance. Neutral graphics and videos made by event organizers instead of the home school. Lights/fireworks not being utilized outside of neutral scenarios
Just a couple that they normalize in baseball and basketball that I can think of off the top of my head.

The NCAA would incorporate these restrictions, I can see that. However, the CFP isn't administered by the NCAA; instead, it's being administered by a separate entity apart from the NCAA, the CFP Administration LLC. I haven't seen anything from them that patterns itself after the NCAA restrictions, but I don't know for sure if they are restricting or not. Good question.

This is what I’ve been trying to say the entire thread. The CFP 100% is implementing neutral Gameday experiences, and it will be very similar to how the NCAA does it

If LSU hosted bama they might want to try the alternate setting…historically…but prolly not the sugar bowl. BDS probably their best option!
