Texas's opponents so far both dead last.
I have no high expectations that we'll win Saturday but I think they'll be in for a minor adjustment going from their previous level of competition to now.

Now this is interesting...
Does this include all games or just conference matchups?

Pretty sure it's all of them. I have a hard team taking any stats that include FCS games seriously, especially this early in the season. Even non-P5 games.

Auburn made me suspicious...

Those Furman and MTSU games are really paying off.

That's fair, but you have to consider that OU and MSU stats are muffled partially because the Texas defense played well against them.

Toledo's defense played almost as well against State as Texas did.
Not trolling; just pointing out that Texas wasn't an outlier, necessarily, for MSST.

While true, Alabama lost to the 14th ranked team on this list. Ole Miss lost to the 13th ranked team. Georgia struggled with the 13th ranked team.. etc etc
So I'm not sure these rankings mean a whole lot.
eta: Auburn is 5th on this list. That is interesting as well..

Its still really early in the season so these rankings are a bit skewed, part of the reason they are dead last is because they played Texas
OU has played Tennessee and @ Auburn who is at least a bit stingy defensively, they've switched QBs and had a ton of WR injuries.
Miss State is a tragically bad team that Georgia has also played.
People act like Texas didn't go into Ann Arbor and dominate a team that still has a lot of talent, and then dominate OU in a game where you can usually throw out the rankings of both teams.
Georgia is hanging its hat on having played against a Bama team who is 2 plays from a .500 record.

National Net YPP (FBS only)
1. Texas (+3.51)
5. Ole Miss (+3.09)
6. Alabama (+2.73)
11. Tennessee (+2.10)
26. Auburn (+1.11)
27. Georgia (+1.05)
33. LSU (+0.82)
36. Texas A&M (+0.66)
38. South Carolina (+0.57)
44. Missouri (+0.42)
55. Arkansas (+0.27)
60. Florida (+0.12)
68. Kentucky (+0.03)
90. Oklahoma (-0.59)
94. Vanderbilt (-0.66)
117. Mississippi State (-1.80)
Doesn't mean it will continue, but Texas is the class of the league right now. The only team that has looked elite basically every half of every game they've played (outside of maybe the 1st half vs State).
On the flip side, Georgia is clearly the first playoff level team they will have seen. It will certainly be a different level of opponent.

Michigan has a lot of defensive talent; they held Texas to their lowest point total this season, but not by much.
Texas hasn't faced a good offense yet, but they will on Saturday. It'll be intriguing to see how they hold up.

Georgia’s Clemson win looks more impressive as of now. Clemson is currently ranked top 10 while Michigan isn’t ranked at all.

This one excludes garbage time and does not include FCS games.

Must include all. Ole Miss leads the category with an eye bulging number but has 2 loses. Meaningless stat too early in season and should only be based on conference stats.

I don' think people forgot, it's just that game lost a lot of luster since UM has turned out to be a fraud. And to be clear I'm not saying texas sucks at all or anything close to that. They are every single bit deserving of their #1 ranking. I think my biggest thing, at least as it relates to this thread topic, is that they really haven't been TRULY tested yet almost halfwya through the season.
Michigan's offense hasn't scored more than 30 points in a game all season. Oklahoma has a stingy defense but the offense is horrendous. UGA is extremely up and down but we will by FAR present a bigger challenge to their defense than what they've seen

buddy I don't think UGA is hanging its hat on much of anything right now
And to be fair, we did beat a top 10 clemson by 31 in the opener. After labor day people haven't made a peep about clemson because of that thrashing but they're off in the shadows putting together a pretty solid resume since then. I think as of RIGHT NOW you could say our win over them is one of the better wins on the season.

There are many an FBS team that are no different than an FCS team though.
