Maybe not "much better" but I think we can agree that Billy, like mullen, are both incapable of beating a sleepwalking bama team;

Teams historically wont sleepwalk vs UF.

Teams circle their calendars Vandy week as a W on a yearly basis

Not for the most part.

I think Bama did in 2021 though.

Not the same, Dores coach went there and played there, just means more.

This is also year 4 for Lea. He went 0-8 in the SEC year 3. I think the real take away is that development takes time.

What signs of development has Billy shown here?

The team that played Miami in August
Is not the same team we are seeing right now
If Florida was playing Miami this Saturday.
It would be a much different ball game.
I'm not saying Florida would win but for sure they would be in the game
I have to hand to Napier this team get better every week. They have played and looked much better since the bye week let's hope that continues into this buy week heading into UGA.

I'm not saying they will win 4 of the next 5 they have to play 3 teams in the top.8. As of right now
I think aTm will beat LSU.
but if you are going to call out the bad you have to call out the good

A good coach doesn’t take half a season into his third year to “show improvement”.

That happened 4 days after I asked that.

It was a good win.

And good to see Cormani make a big play.

Kids are still playing hard, unlike the end of the Mullen era, so I'll give that to Billy too.

He's just such a frustrating coach. Like I want to get behind him and trust that he'll figure things out but deep down I just don't think he can.

I agree the team is playing with more intensity, particularly on the defensive side of the ball.

Although I wonder if we are actually improving overall, or slightly improving and playing garbage teams.

I think back to last year, we laid a total dud against Utah. Kicked the Vols' arse and then turned around to lay an even bigger dud against Kentucky. Had an exciting win at SCar, and got to 5-2. Finished 5-7 with at least 3 very winnable games.

Or back in year 1, we blow out Aggy on the road and then road grade SCar at home, only to go out and lose to Vandy the following week, and ending the season in a 3 game skid.

tl;dr, I've seen this team under Napier show flashes of promise for a game ot two so many times, and then completely collapse and regress.

Miami and A&M are legitimately good teams. And we were uncompetitive, at home, against them.

Are the improvements we're seeing a result more of actual coaching or are we seeing the effect of playing some really bad teams (and a mediocre Tennessee team).

I'm not saying anything other than this team has improved.

There is some talent on tjis team unfortunately it's taking them time to make it work on the field

At least they are improving and it's across the board. Not just one unit or one or 2 players it's as a team the O-line is improved, the defense is improved, lagway is going to make mistakes he is going to throw the ball into double and triple coverage. But he also will make dynamic plays as well.
So I do not know what will happen the rest of the way
But I do know that this team is better then they were a month ago and they play hard and want to win. Which is not the way I felt in September

When you follow one of the worst recruiters UF has ever had it does.

I want Billy gone, but lets not act like this team was close to competing when he took the reigns

And now, we’re back at square one. Here comes a 5-7 or 4-8 season. Lovely.

What other team in college football that is down to their 3rd string QB and several other starting star players hurt. How many game Would you expect them to win.
Im not taking up for Napier but the truth is the truth!!!
When Lagway went down our season was done i just hope he can come back for at least 2 games but the way he could not put weight on his leg not sure he comes back at all.
Its just crazy how both Mertz and lagway had pretty much none contact injuries. Crazy

Playing UG close and losing a second starting QB doesn't wipe away 2 and a half seasons of poor coaching, poor recruiting, poor play, and historically poor win / lose record.

Napier has to go, the sooner the better or UF will be irrelevant for the next decade.

Brandon Napier has been an absolute disaster for 3 years..no need for another 4 years of another Brandon!
