Monday Update
Sunday Night:
Reed Timmer and others are predicting a storm in the Gulf this week with a projected landfall from LA to FL panhandle Thursday or Friday.. Still early as it isn’t even a depression yet, but it could effect the weather of some games.. stay safe out there..
The black line almost goes right over Tuscaloosa..

Ugh, just getting over the last one. Hope it diverts. I got stuff I need to get done next weekend. Besides the game of the year in Tuscaloosa.

Right now the trend is it keeps inching east in the models, but you never know. My guess is that it'll hit around Florida's big bend area...some say Cat 2...possibly 3. Minimal effects by Saturday night in Tuscaloosa...but always subject to change still 4 days out.

Where do you live? It had virtually no widespread impact except on folks in south Louisiana..

There has been a lot of people talking about this storm before the weather people were.
Apparently the conditions are just perfect for it.

Cyclocane
You can get models here. Looks like it's projected path has shifted east since the OP posted.

Probably going to be a 3+ and it coming right at Panama City! We will probably head north!

I know lots of times messages like this read as kind of hollow, but take care. I hope this thing spits, spats, and sputters, to nothing more than a TS.
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

We live in Gulf Shores, if those models hold up we might be ok.
Retired here 5 years ago, Sally was the 1st and last storm I'll ride out, lol. Will be headed to Atlanta if it heads our way...

To be safe, the Gators are cancelling their bye week on Saturday.
Rescheduling for the week that they are scheduled to play UG.

The storm sat on North Alabama for three days. There was flooding all over Alabama and Mississippi. Cars and houses were underwater all over the place, all the way to Florence AL and into Tennessee.

Other than 21 we have been lucky. Keep sending them to Florida and Louisiana

Looks like the models are shifting east towards Florida, but it still hasn't formed yet, so until it does, there will be some uncertainty.. but some of the models have this as a really strong storm. Anyone near the coast needs to keep a close eye on this one.

"Squalls out on the gulf stream
Big storms coming soon
I passed out in my hammock
God, I slept way past noon
Stood up and tried to focus
I hoped I wouldn't have to look far
I knew I could use a Bloody Mary
So I stumbled next door to the bar"
