They’ve been doing that for 40 yrs. Poor boy from Winnfield showed back up to town in a Trans Am from LSU in 83.

Pretty sure he only drove it a short while before selling it. I'd love to track that thing down and buy it from whoever owns it now....assuming it's not obliterated by a wreck.

SMU tied themselves financially to their players to where they couldn’t quit paying them even after they were told to stop.

The SWC was a mess during that period.

I thought the story was that he gave it to a family member and kept the Corvette SMU bought for him.
