Quit sucking up
OU has an avg top 10 recruiting class counting last 3 years. And you think Tenn just gonna roll in night game at OU and win bigger than spread?
We are lacking on offense but have a great defense. However, if O can’t sustain drives or at least score often the D will get gassed no matter what team you are.
But we lacked many starters and that matters. Most are supposed to be back. There is also a 40% chance of rain. This game will be close. And I think OU pulls it out.
But to post what you did and that score - you are a doom and gloomer type fan. Trying to prepare yourself so no matter what you won’t be let down. Part of being a fan is experiencing disappointment. That in turn then makes the joy that much better when we win. If we lose and I get disappointed so be it thats part of fandom. I won’t sell my team short. Every team loses games.and wins too.
Both teams have not played a team as they face Sat night. We all really don’t know what to expect. Brent helped teach Josh during our natty run. Josh won a title here. Lots of emotions. Players will also know that backstory.
OU has held back on playbook. Likely Tenn did as well. OU is more hurt player wise but has top 10 talent on the team. So does Tenn have talent. First true road game for Tenn QB. This game has many storylines. But at least we get to play the game unlike past years when it was all talk.
I can’t wait.

The viles have a good offense, no doubt. How good is their defense?
How good is Okie's offense? Both teams will learn a lot about themselves this week.
Tenn is -7 on the ESPN website.
With the Dawgs off this week I am looking forward to this game. I hope it is an old fashioned knock down drag out.

I think Tennessee maintains a comfy 10-14 point lead for most of the game. Something like 31-17 final. OU just doesn't pass the eye test offensively.

neither team has played an offense worth a damn and have good defenses.
This will be a battle. I think it will be within a TD going into the 4th.
OU getting 8 starters back is huge for their depth. They are fully healthy

It is what it is at this point. I'd put Oklahoma's defense against any offense in the country right now. Our O on the other hand is pretty much bipolar. If what played the first half against Tulane, but with some returning starters shows up this coming Saturday I like our chances. We have to keep the tempo and we have to stay disciplined. If the O that's played the other 10 quarters the majority of the season shows up... We're probably in trouble.
I can promise everyone this though, It's going to be chaotic inside Memorial stadium Saturday night. That will be an advantage.

You gotta be come with a little more ummpf around here. TennerC hasn't played anybody and this will be in your house. I think it's about 50/50. I also hate tennerC, so I hope yall put a country arse woopin on them.

This OU offense has had to battle for survival and manage to scratch out a victory 3 times in a row in spite of being hobbled worse than any OU offense I can remember and I'm an older fella.
The defense isn't perfect, but they are a nasty bunch, and more solid than any point in many years. Big ol' grizzly bears lookin for a fight.
Tennessee is going down on Saturday night.

From Bob Stoops, in case anyone asks why he’s quiet this week:

He spelled Heupel's name wrong

I hope OU gets the win and brings those hillbilly rednecks back down to earth.

This caught my attention. Does OU have a running game? Have your top 2 RBs been out or something? Running your future star QB 12 times in rain might get him killed. I know yall have some Oline issues but y’all played 3 AAC schools.

Alright, how’s this…worry about your inept Georgia Bulldogs who can barely beat Kentucky. Alabamas gonna kick the shite out of y’all in 2 weeks lol

All our RBs are healthy. Our best RB is true freshman Taylor Tatum, he is starting to get more reps yet they are respecting the more senior ones too. I expect more of TT.
And yes, our QB used to be a RB so he is not afraid to run. One thing that held us back the past 2 years is Gabriel had concussions. His first year we had no backup so had to run him sparingly and TCU still concussed him on a dirty hit. Last year true freshman Arnold backed him up technically but JA was redshirting so they still went conservative on QB runs. This year we have backups so can run JA.
Our banged up oline has been the issue but got better last game. And I expect much better this week with players back but not sure its enough in time to gel. Teams on later part of our schedule will see a much better oline.
