I'm headed to the LSU vs SC game this year. I have never been and would appreciate any suggestions from you Gamecock fans or anyone who has been to Columbia, SC.

#1 looking for local spots to eat. Also any breweries or chill bars for a good local beer. Thank you in advance!

Been to several games at South Carolina. We don’t stay in Columbia. Most everybody stays in Charleston. You can’t pick a wrong spot there.

I used to love going to the Flying Saucer when I lived in Sumter. That whole five point area is full of good stuff - Bars, restaurants, etc.

Colas is a great spot for dinner. The food and atmosphere at Pearlz oyster bar is also top notch. Thirsty fellow is another good option. Bourbon and Halls are both great, but more on the expensive side.

The Applebee's on the Clinton Highway is always my go-to when I am in Columbia and has the nicest atmosphere and best food in town.

Steel hands is a good brewery nearby. River rat was also pretty cool but I think it closed down..
