Idk. Maybe go with the state known as “Sportsman Paradise”

Only Florida and SC have a worse Deer herd, might be the worse in turkeys. You come in second in ducks.

You got fishing...

Not my experience, although it was hunting on a military installation. Great turkey and deer hunting

But, the answer for whitetail is TX, MS, MO, AL, and GA in that order.

Next group: AR, KY, SC, TN, LA

Turkey: TX, MO, AL, KY, MS with TN(6a) SC (6b)

Overall hunting accounting for size of state to deer and turkey populations and access to hunt, I'd go 1. MO, 2. AL, 3. MS

Best place to kill a deer is in south Arkansas,….at night…while driving on a rural highway.

Got one in PA last NOV on the interstate. My take is that the standard vehicle is just a bit too large a caliber for the American whitetail

For anyone who has been to both, Cameron Parish, LA or Stuttgart, AR for waterfowl? I hear great things about both.

1) Texas
2) Kentucky
3) Missouri
You won’t see more deer in Kentucky and Missouri like you would in Mississippi and Alabama but you will see bigger deer in Kentucky and Missouri.

Teal season in LA is pretty bad arse. Big duck seasons have been disappointing. Just look at the harvest reports and you can see who kills more ducks per hunter.

For ducks, it's eastern Arkansas. When you look at photos from the 1960's, it just blows your mind at how many ducks were there. Then we had the wetlands issues in the 70's that DU helped correct and the population rebounded. Everything you want is there. Flooded timber, flooded fields.

My dad lead guided hunts in the 60's and called ducks for Bear Bryant at the old Coca-Cola club in Arkansas. It was a legendary club in those days.

You are correct! Missouri fields about 500,000 hunters during the firearms portion and we have roughly 1.5MM deer.

Most of those hunters are MAGA as hell. It's a standing army almost as large as Michigan's hunters.
