Is Ole Miss kind of screwed after this year?

I was looking at the Ole Miss depth chart, and it's got a LOT of seniors on it due to their activity in the transfer portal.
In their projected two deep, 27 of the 44 guys on the list on offense and defense are seniors. Only 7 of those 44 are underclassmen.
Has Ole Miss "sold out" for this year, putting them in a future hole in order to have one shot at success?
For comparison Bama has 6 seniors and 18 underclassmen UGA has 11 seniors and 18 underclassmen.
Has Ole Miss put themselves in a situation where they effectively are going to HAVE To bring in a lot of transfers each year because they're not giving younger guys on their own roster time on the field in the 2-deep to develop?

Not necessarily screwed but they’ll definitely have to remain portal dependent for a while in order to be successful….. but they’ll have a lot of NIL freed up when current players leave so it may work out for them.

Don't forget Kiffin to Florida.

While I know that's kind of a joke, Michigan and a heavily senior laden team this past year and when they all graduated their coach left for the NFL. It's not necessarily a ridiculous idea for a coach to stack his roster with seniors for a year then have success and bolt before the consequences of doing that come to bear.
It would be a bit of a risky move, but if there's one coach who's not risk adverse, it would be Kiffin.

Is ole miss ever not screwed next year?
If your coach doesn’t do well you have to fire him and start the climb over, if he does too good he’ll get poached

I don't think so really.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Lane take another good season and use it to jump to another/better team if given the opportunity. It would probably be the least surprising thing to anyone.
However, Ole Miss has demonstrated they have a support system that they will likely replace Lane with another decent coach and they'll likely stay a top25 team etc.

Probably
We are all in for 2024. It’s playoffs or bust
We will have to reassess and reload no matter what happens this season

Didn't Ed Orgeron tell Kiffin not to take the Ole Miss job? It was Ed Orgeron who got fired after a couple of years at LSU and Kiffin is still at Ole Miss.

Maybe. There won’t be nearly the experience even with a good portal class(which should be expected we are good at it) but there’s good young talent on the roster. Especially at quarterback, receiver and defensive line. Still no Alabama, Texas, Tennessee, Auburn, A@M on the schedule.

We’ll have to wait and see. I will say this.
If someone offered me Atlanta this season and then Kiff jumps somewhere else in January for 9-10 mil a year and all our players transfer out leaving us in a sling,,,,
I would take it 100/100 times

I don't think so. I actually think Kiffin is trying to use the portal and this upcoming season to build Ole Miss up to the point where they are a stronger player in high school recruiting. Having Kiffin who I believe is a top 10 coach means Ole Miss will never be screwed.

I don't know if it was ever actually confirmed, but I remember hearing something about the reason why Orgeron was hired at LSU was because he promised Kiffin would be the OC if he was hired.
Could easily be bullshite, but I do remember a lot of smoke about Kiffin being his OC.

Hell if know, or remember at this point, but while the last 2 years were bad, almost every school in the country would trade it for 2019.

I think highly of Kiffin. If he ends up at UF he's going to win big. I was looking at UF's current roster and they have some really nice players. Kiffin could get a lot out of that roster and he could make Lagway into a superstar.
