103-74, a 58% winning percentage (impressive, but certainly not up to par with the Texas brand), and 25-14 since Sarkisian took the reins. Last year was good for Texas, no doubt, but unfortunately they pulled a Bama against a 3rd year HC from the PAC 12.

But the SEC is far weaker than the mighty Big 12; gentlemen, this may be the breakout season they’ve been waiting for. Arch Manning is also so good that it’s been rumored he can occasionally “will his team to win” from the bench.

Perhaps a 2005 season is on the horizon, or maybe even a return to the glory days we’ve all read about in history books, but to this day those have not been confirmed to have ever happened.

I just wanted to point this out because it doesn’t seem like Texas fans around here have the slightest clue as to how the rest of the NCAA sees them.

Serious responses only. Not a troll thread, please.

Discuss.

alas the "glory days" and awesome record against Aggies tua is so proud of was accrued before scholarship limits were imposed in 1973.

the tua record against Aggies including 1973 and later seasons is 20-19.

LSU Football:

806-434(.645)
4 National Championships
31-24 Bowl Record
3 Heisman Winners

Texas Football

948-382(.702)- This has a lot to do with the Big12
4 National Championships
31-25 Bowl Record
2 Heisman Winners

If Texas is considered a blue blood so should LSU.

Sorry but what relevance do Charlie Strong and Tom Herman results have to do with projecting Texas’ performance going forward?

You wanted to start yet another thread about Texas because this entire board is completely obsessed with us. Incessant, repeated threads, day after day after day, about Texas.

We absolutely do have the slightest clue how the rest of the NCAA sees us. Every time some pundit makes a list of blue bloods, Texas is on it and you are not. That's how the rest of the NCAA sees us, but more importantly, that's how the rest of the NCAA does NOT see you. It sucks that you're so butthurt about it, but that's just the way it is.

See you on the next Texas thread in an hour or so.

More like 5th generation rancher who went into the oil business, became a billionaire, and now employs the LSU oilfield trash money...but I get your point.

One is a real school in a real state. The other is a mediocre school in a state with absolutely nothing else going on.

Blue Blood = Won nattys when the #1 ranking was decided BEFORE THE BOWL GAMES - pre-1970s...

Pre-1970s Natty's are mostly suspect AF...Blue Blood status is pretty much a fraud case-by-case.
LSU and the U are by all means New Blue Bloods...
