Beef ribs are absolutely sublime but there's nothing like perfectly ... and I mean perfectly ... done brisket.

I'll also cast a vote for smoked turkey.

And I'll commit heresy among my Alabama brethren and say that Miss Myra's in Cahaba Heights has better smoked chicken, and white sauce, than Big Bob Gibson's in Decatur.

It is good but I prefer Memphis style BBQ pulled pork, shoulder butt and ribs as I was raised on that.

Arkansas BBQ pretty much favors Memphis style BBQ.

food is subjective. Brisket is my favorite but that doesn't mean I don't also love Pork from the Southeast region. Like you said all BBQ is great.

It's the worst of all the barbeque, after "tri tip" (California "barbeque").

Brisket is overrated ... at $6.99 a lbs . It use to be a cheap cut of meat that is now in demand to the point of being over priced and not worth it to cook at home.

Good brisket isn’t hard to make, but it takes patience and practice. Thing about brisket is it intimidates a lot of backyard BBQers. Some go by time, others temp, bend, feel ect. Its a little of all those. The same for pork ribs, butt, bird and all the others. Brisket just takes longer. My biggest advice is don’t get too drunk when prepping the brisket and getting it started.
