No regular season win streak?
Posted on 2/21/24 at 12:32 pm to koreandawg
Kansas is currently hotter than 70% of the SEC with a 2 game winning streak

SEC 2023 Season
The season will culminate with the SEC Championship Game in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Saturday, December 2.
The SEC Championship was considered part of the regular season.
So, Georgia’s Streak starts at 0

I don't believe this is right. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I believe "regular season" records in the SEC have never included SEC championship games or bowl games.
I know for sure the SECCG is NOT considered a conference game, which is somewhat amusing. UGA technically has a SEC conference win streak sitting at 27 games and counting, despite the fact we've had two losses to SEC opponents since then.

Yes it does.
SECCG is not considered a conference game for some reason. Only the regular season conference schedule is.
UGA was 8-0 in conference play in 2023
8-0 in 2022
8-0 in 2021
won the last 3 in 2020 after losing to UF.
That's 27 in a row.
Get mad at the SEC for not considering the SECCG a conference game if that bothers you.
