I also read that NCAA takes a few days to process transfer portal entry. So if someone submitted at midnight on deadline day then it can take a few days to show up. He most likely submitted ppw on Tues.

Multiple things can be true at the same time:

1) I don’t believe a word coming out from ole Miss fans/bloggers/coaches about character issues. NFL teams do the same thing when players ask for a new contract/leave and it is laughable. Doesn’t mean it isn’t true, I just don’t trust the source

2) Judkins value goes beyond the stat sheet. He absolutely made teams respect the inside run more which opened up Dart and Receivers. He also won at least 2 games this year that I can think of: Auburn and LSU

3) If he was asking for more than $1 million it may not have made sense for us to pay him. NIL is not an unlimited resource and sometimes you have to make hard payroll decisions. Doesn’t mean the player is bad or the team is cheap. There is at least 1 starting NFL RB making less than $1 mil so I understand the hesitance even for a special player

4) if he got an offer for $1.5 mil+ he should absolutely take it. That is life changing money at a position with a short shelf life

Sucks, but I think we can still have a special year in 2024

In general the interior OL struggled with blocking this year and the RT struggled with penalties, especially earlier on. The Ole Miss OL was pretty solid starting with the LSU game though until injuries took their toll late in the year. The starting 5 were fine but the depth was an issue.

bad ribs is not good for a RB. I think the value of RB's has greatly diminished over the last 10 years in the NFL and CFB...i really don't think it's a big deal if he leaves.

Letting Q walk opens up cap space for Oline talent.

I’d rather have an elite Oline that can run and pass block than an elite RB with no Oline

I know both would be the best thing but don’t over pay for the RB especially if you don’t have to.

Money isn't the issue here. We agreed to terms with him financially last month. This is about ego and team chemistry. I am not saying Quinshon is a bad guy or has character issues. Sometimes things just do not fit.

Judkins became toxic this year - multiple instances including demonstrative onfield shite. Probably best for both sides.

I get wanting to make players feel valued for their contributions to a school and program. However, NIL seems to be going off the rails. College football should be about developing young people and giving them an opportunity to get an education. These kids shouldn’t be tossed around like NFL free agents.

There’s only one NFL franchise built around the RB position that will make a Super Bowl run this season. Look how shitty the Titans are with Henry and the Giants are with Barkley.

I would agree with you here if these rumors were only one day old. But they aren't.....they're several months in the making.

I'm not sure those get posted publicly anywhere.

I don't have a problem with NIL at all. It's the transfer rules that are a major issue. The two-transfer rule makes it pretty unbearable.

I’m happy he’s leaving and any other player leaves to get more money in college football. An injury is one play away. Get as much money as you can while you can. School loyalty means nothing as it should
