The younger generations are more interested in being on the phone 24/7 than attending football games…

It really won't matter because only 4 or 5 different SEC teams will win a natty during those 15yrs.

Bama approved a plan to downsize BDS but it fell through. Definitely look for the 100k places to move towards luxury in the future

More likely, they will be half empty.

Shorten that down to 3-5 years.

Most folks would gladly see a game live in 15 years but for me, it's about the money. I'm not paying that much and yes, I'm poor.

Ha! I really think that with the high costs of attending games and the huge HD televisions that we all have will cause the decline….

*Nap over and nobody is on my lawn currently *

We aren’t poor at all, solid middle class, and we wind up selling or giving our 4 away to most games. Sold our SECCG tickets this year. Doubled the money on them. We are planning on going to the UT/UGA game next year because the Hill Country is a blast over a 4 day weekend and we have friends 30 minutes from Austin. Decent seats are $1500 and up right now and unlikely to go down. We can spend that without missing any meals but why would we? That’s a $10k weekend. That’s not being poor that’s being financially savvy. It’s just too much.

I know with no doubt that all of the seats in our section are owned by small business owners. I started buying ours for the exact same reason….successful small businesses have access to waaaaayyyyy more cash at times than even highly paid employers do. When you’re making an $50k a week payroll not counting benefits finding $10k for a 4 day weekend with friends is waaaayyyy easier to do than it is when $10k is half a months net salary. Even people with deep pockets will think twice about going to games….its just not worth it.

Is be more concerned about kids not playing football when they’re younger. Of all my friends’ kids and kid’s friends, I can count on one hand the number who play tackle football. Parents are getting their kids into soccer and lacrosse. In another generation, the better athletes are moving to different sports.

After NIL and the transfer portal, this sport is turning into NFL-lite, and it’s a much inferior product to the NFL. Nobody will want to pay the price of admission for minor league football.

I hope so. Spectator sports have gotten ridiculous and need to be knocked down several pegs. The money, the changes, the ridiculous amount of time people invest in them. Get outside, do your own thing instead of watching others. You want to watch your team once per week, fine. But spending all weekend on football is absurd.

Yea… the older I get, I’m starting to agree. I used to watch every game I could every weekend. With 3 kids and the wife now….i just watch Bama games, football and basketball. Even missed the second half of the liberty game the other day searching for a car for the middle daughter…lol guess I’m officially an old fart.

In 15 years I doubt college football is still happening or they'll all be soccer stadiums. The world we know won't exist by then.

That's part of it. The other part is NIL is destroying the game, TV contracts are bloated and unsustainable, games are too expensive to attend for the families needed to keep them viable and the game is getting less interesting and simple.
