2021 Georgia defense - 10.1 ppg, 190 passing, 79 rushing
2021 alabama defense - 20.1ppg, 218 passing, 85 rushing
Takeaway: Big advantage went to Georgia in ppg and a small advantage in yards per game.
2023 Georgia defense - 15.8ppg, 176 passing, 118 rushing
2023 alabama defense - 17.3ppg, 184 passing, 124 rushing
Takeaway: Similiar defensive numbers overall. These defenses seem to be on par with eachother. There’s a noticeable downgrade in both run defenses compared to 2021. Both seem to be improved against the pass, however, especially alabama.
2021 Georgia offense - 38.6ppg, 252 passing, 191 rushing
2021 alabama offense - 39.9ppg, 338 passing, 150 rushing
Takeaway: alabama was an explosive passing offense with nearly 90 more yards per game through the air. Georgia had a better run attack. Overall offense favored alabama because of the threat through the air.
2023 Georgia offense - 39.6ppg, 310 passing, 185 rushing
2023 alabama offense - 35.8ppg, 231 passing, 177 rushing
Takeaway: Interestingly the passing numbers have flipped from two years ago. Georgia now appears to be the much more potent passing offense AND actually holds a small advantage on the ground.

I’m hoping UGA can return the favor

This game largely comes down to Bama’s front 7 against the UGA OL.
Until Auburn Bama had been a brick wall against the interior run game but vulnerable to mobile QBs.
The Bama LB play against AU was an absolute train-wreck. Lawson was banged up and Campbell was consistently out of position. If they bring that level of performance against an UGA OL that has been lights out Bama will get ground into dust.
I’m also extremely worried about Key at Safety being out there at 60% like he was last week and getting torched by Bowers and McConkey in iso situations. If he doesn’t improve health wise this week he absolutely must sit or Bowers will have a statement game.
However IF Bama can hold serve at the LOS and occasionally pressure on Beck (who has been under the radar lights out and is the best UGA QB since Stafford) UGA will be under a lot of pressure to keep down a Bama offense that has been quietly incredibly efficient since they started running Milroe at halftime of the Tennessee game.

UGA needs to make the CFP look like a bunch of scrub teams playing against the best SEC team in years, (if they win) because if Bama wins i'm not sure the SEC gets a team into the playoffs.
I hate it, but see the accumulation of hatred toward the SEC from the media...and other fuk heads in charge of the playoff committee.

What is killing him?
Two years ago we won one, too. The most important one.

Georgia's defense also didn't seem to respect Bryce's legs in that game
On the contrary. Our game plan was 180 degrees different than the previous 12 games played and our main goal was to contain Bryce from running, for some reason I still don't understand. We respected his agility way, way TOO much. When they played a month later we abandoned that shite gameplan and unleashed our hellraisers and bama only scored 1 touchdown that was partially a result of gifted field position.

Probably that he's an Auburn fan breaking down who will win the SEC Championship game between Auburn's two biggest rivals.

I barely remember the last game we played on paper. Either moonshine or shotgunning white claws?

Georgia only played 1 good offense all season and it was in the SEC Championship Game

You dont need paper or stats to see that the GA defense isn’t nearly what it was 2 years ago.

The Georgia defense is 9th in the country. Not quite as good but currently better than Bama's defense.

Unlikely hero of the night where Georgia wins may very well be Carson Beck who happens to get rid of the ball faster than Bama's rush can close in. That's a function of having to play against UGA's defense every week at practice.

Best defense Georgia has played against this year is Ole Miss and Pete Golding.

In fairness, our Oline has been best in pass protection. It has come on the past 2-3 games in run blocking, though.
I've heard that Beck is wanting to make this his coming out party by having a big game. We'll see how that works out. The game could ultimately come down to which QB performs best.
