South Carolina? Auburn? Kentucky took a step back. Can Ole Miss continue?

Whichever team has good returning talent that doesn’t have Bama or Georgia on the schedule. Ole miss had them both this year or Kiffin would have been one of the best out there….

Top 12 next year will be a whole new game.

tbh, Texas A&M. Advanced metrics have them as a top 15-20 caliber team and that was with their starting QB, Connor Weigman missing most of the season. If they nail their head coach hire, they have the potential to be really good next season.

We don’t play Alabama next year

I bet Auburn will with Freeze.

Tennessee.
I say Tennessee as well. But its a U-turn to mediocrity they are making at said corner.

Florida has a lot of talent coming in with their next class. If Lagway turns out to be as good as his rating and the gators improve defensively they could be really good in the next couple years. Even with Bayou Billy at the helm.

Florida - they are very close, and if the recruiting keeps up, I see them as a team on the rise

Especially if they get Simpson

Now we all get to bicker about the seeding and which teams don't deserve to be included.
I truly think that they went all the way to 12 to be able to draw the Notre Dame audience into the ratings picture every season.

Alabama doesn't play Mississippi State either for the first time since before Texas A&M's most recent NC. I think 1930.

Maybe, hopefully South Carolina. I think we've found our coach. Shanes's well liked by the boosters, the players, the mamas, etc. He's made some first-time head coaching mistakes, but that's expected.
The challenges for us are a couple of things - Clemson and Georgia are recruiting at a high national level. We have out recruited Clemson in the state the last couple of years but they recruit nationally. We have always pulled some talent from the state of Georgia, but they are getting the ones they want. We are below our peers in NIL. We have emplemented some new fund raising things that should help. But that remains to be seen.
As always, we sell-out Willams Brice and remain optimistic. I was at Carolina late 70s thru early 80s - the George Rogers years - we had a bumper sticker that said "Carolina Football - anyone can have a bad century".

Ole Miss has had their best 3-year span since the early 60s in a much more competitive era. Ole Miss has turned the corner. However, Lane may be operating at max capacity there.

Not sure how bad you have to be to turn the corner, but I think Mizzou has done a stellar job and will improve even more under Drink.
Florida maybe?

Everything about the team culture he has established is amazing in this era of "me first."

Just a reminder, a Manning returns to the SEC next year for the first time in decades. Sark has the team headed in the right direction, but we lose a ton of NFL talent at the end of this season so we may not make a huge splash in year one.
Oh, and Quinn Ewers likely returns for one more, but with his injury history (Dallas Turner declaring after the season? Lol) it's likely we see the latest Manning behind center for a few games.
