They're getting rid of the last week of the season and the conference championships?

We could have had it if not for the B1G and their phony backstabbing handshake "Alliance".

Worst thing ever. 64 teams next, followed by 68, followed by...

Yep, this is how the whole "everybody gets a trophy" deal got started.

Too bad. Teams will have to earn it every year instead of gettting artificially inflated based on reputation.

With SEC and Big 10 expansion, that automatic G5 bid sucks tho.

I would love it but hate that they will take out 2/3 of SEC before final. I am confident that will be a consistent issue. Should be a rule preventing matching top 2 in any conference until the final but chicken shits outnumber SEC.

You would put Tulane in over Ole Miss, the only team Tulane has lost to? Ole Miss is ranked 12th.

Well that's just bull shite. What about 13, 14, 15, 16...27?
It's simple, #1 should not have to play any double digit ranked team for any other title than tournament champ. It's definitely not national championship at that point.

How did you move #23 Tulane to #12??
Posted on 11/21/23 at 8:30 pm to dawgfan24348
It’s the Top 6 conference champions and 6 at large. So technically Texas would be #5 and Tulane #6. Then the next 6 that the committee selects. Which would probably be the next 6 highest ranked teams.

Then Games like the SECCG, Mich/OSU, as well as other CCGs would be meaningless.

I’m going to guess they’d rig the seeding to avoid this.

You might want to reread this

include the six highest-ranked conference champions,
So that’s SEC, Big-XII, B1G, PAC-12, ACC, and a G5 Champ
